The tv is perfect for the family room. Our room isn't very big, but the 55 inch looks great! We love the ease of use and are looking forward to watching football this fall. We have already enjoyed baseball!

Tv has the best picture out of any 55” but the android system it operates on is the worst. Super long lag and u must aim the control right at the tv perfectly to get it to work. It’s 2018, I can’t believe something like that would ever be such an issue nowadays. My tv from 30 years ago had a better control operation. Cmon Sony, you’re better than that

As a video professional, I'm keenly sensitive to the technical quality of products. Sony's previous generation of high end LCD's coupled with Sonys new X1 processing chip made for a TV that exceeded the picture quality of LG's OLED's. Couple that with the new Sony OLED's and you end up with a stunning TV, with excellent up-conversion of standard TV signals and stunning 4K images. In addition, linking your phone or tablet to play videos on your TV works very well with the android OS and youtube or amazon videos look better than on any other set due to the X1 chip.

I have a high quality 1080p LED TV, but moving to this 4K OLED set has been a revelation. Having spent some time with it, I really can't recommend it enough. Honestly have been shocked by black levels and color reproduction on multiple devices. Whether it be video games, high quality netflix streaming, or 4K UHD bluray, this set has amazed me on multiple occasions. Something I do not say lightly. OLED technology just can't be beat regarding black levels and color reproduction. Best TV I've ever owned, and something that I can't recommend enough.

Did extensive research b/4 purchasing OLED TV & also looked at LG OLED. I have always owned Sony tv's. So when I found out that Sony was coming out with an OLED I waited to purchase a new tv until I could see it. I read the reviews which were all excellent & went into Best Buy to actually see it in person. When I saw the picture & quality I had to have it. This tv is phenomenal, picture & sound. I am so happy with my purchase. I will always purchase Sony!!!

It is a Best set TV ! Get wall fit and fantastic picture quality of TV works awesome. Easy to operate, makes me want watch it all the time.

I’m absolutely satisfied with the picture clarity on the Sony XBR55A1E. The Sony’s acoustic sound surface is very impressive but lacked bass. Obviously we don’t buy TVs for their sound but for the picture. Compared to all competitors this Sony TV has the best picture in the world. I attached a subwoofer with a RCA converter cable and ran it straight to the TV (no need for a sound bar). So I utilize both the built in TV’s speakers and a separate subwoofer simultaneously. Highly recommended!

I have been searching for a replacement tv for over a year. Last tv I owned was the kdl46xbr4 which I bought new in 2008. I stopped by Best Buy and compared all their oled models and found this to be the best imo. I have had it for over 2 weeks now and am amazed on how shows and movies pop on this model. I highly recommend it. Yes there are cheaper models out but I purchase for the long run and want to get the most out of my $$

Delighted with my Christmas present that I bought for me ! Watching a 4 k video from Netflix or Amazon downloads is magical. Bright picture with depth. Easy set-up

The picture quality is incredible the blacks are the best black I have ever seen I love my new tv and would recommend it to people who like high quilty tv

Great TV, loving the aesthetics and picture quality. Thanks to OLED, black is truly black. Android apps on this tv isn't consistent or smooth, often lags. I'm hoping for some sort of firmware update to fix this issue.

Awesome tv. The blacks are phenomenal. Colors are great. The tv stand is great as well. Some reviewers do not like the slight angle when using on a table top , but within a few hours you will never notice the slight angle. Awesome tv!!!!

Easy Set up, beautiful piece of equipment (work of art), picture is clear from all angles, picture as good plasma pictures (Amazing Picture), sound is surprisingly good for a flat screen, easy to navigate

This SONY TV has been operating beautifully from the first day for about 3 months. It was easy to set-up and works flawlessly. It was an excellent choice. The picture and operation are superb.

The Picture quality is mind blowing. The sound system is surprisingly awesome. I own a receiver with speakers so don't use it too much, but tested it and was pleasantly surprised. This tv takes the gorgeous LG screen and gives it the superb Sony processing. If you have the money you can't loose with this one.
