Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience. You can choose the set up BASIC TV option at the start of the initial setup if you want to skip the Google TV and Wi-Fi set up. However, this setup does remove some functionality like installing apps, services and features that require signing into your Google Account, and Google Assistant. I would also recommend you watch our short video on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtBnNhxg2XM on how to properly setup your Sony TV. Hope this helps!

NEW TV isn't all it was cracked up to be..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.we are not very impressed with this tv, the volume doesn't stay and goes up and down when changing channels, sometimes we can't get it to turn off without unplugging. We kept thinking we would get used to it but that hasn't happened yet...Sometimes the mouth and the words are not synchronized and the colors are blotchy.

Power reset the TV, simply unplug the unit and wait 1-2 minutes then plug the device back in and power on. The picture and sound quality depends on the source that you're playing. You may experience a lower quality picture or sound than specified for your TV for several reasons. To experience the highest quality picture on your TV, the video source should be the same quality (HD, 4K, etc.) as specified for your TV.
We also recommend updating the software of your TV. A firmware update improves the functionality and features of your device. It can provide fixes to any performance issues that may occur.

very disappointed

I have spent many hours with Sony customer service on phone - so far it has not fixed it. May have to return it. I am 80 and this will not be easy.

Sound Quality

You have to consider that the sound quality of the television is dependent on the source that you're playing. Quality depends on the original video provided by the video content provider and your connection bandwidth.
If you want more powerful sound, we recommend using a soundbar or home theater system. You may also update the TV. A firmware update improves the functionality and features of your device. It can provide fixes to any performance issues that may occur.
