Decent for the price but cost cutting is evident

I'm disappointed with the continued cost cutting, though Sony is not the only one doing it. Ther is no headphone jack on this model unlike all our other Sony TV's, some thing I would have happily paid the extra $5 - $10 up charge for. The 3.5 mm jack makes it super easy to connect auxillary speakers with out having to spend a lot of money. I tried two different brands of USB to 3.5mm dongles and neither was worth the money spent. They worked so intermittently where the sound would just drop without warning. So I would have to get up and fiddle with it only to have it drop again afee minutes later. Finally frustrated, ordered an optical to 3.5mm adaptor at a higher price. This works fine except I have no volume control now via the remote and my 2.1 set up only has a rotary volume control. So I have to find a happy medium fir the volume and then sit adow to watch. This is a spare bedroom set up so its fine its just that had Sony no omitted the Jack, I'd have scored it higher.
