Only down side was sports motion which we had higher hopes for and was really key for us.

I was moving from a 1080P fully backlit LG 55” LX9500 unit and was hoping that the black levels would at least be on par or close to that unit. But, unfortunately the TV I bought 8-ish years ago way out-performed this unit. Additionally, even though I paid for the 4K upgrade of quality on Netflix and have several 4K physical discs, and UHD Vudu movies, I found the 4K output to be below average. Luckily, Best Buy allowed me to exchange and upgrade the TV to another unit (LG C9) and I couldn’t be happier. The C9 is last year’s model and the CX is the 2020 unit. Yes, it’s a big jump in price, but the black levels are amazing (of course they are on the LG unit since it’s an OLED). Basically, the Sony X800 was below average on image quality for 4K and had very poor blacks, so I’d recommend looking to another TV if you’re looking for a high quality TV. This is overpriced for a TV with this quality level in my opinion (and my wife)!

Had I spent more time researching I might have gone with another model. The fact that I couldn't pair my SONY headphones really aggravated me. I did find a workaround and unfortunately, not many people will know about this workaround. I researched it and was lucky to find a comment by someone. The thing I find most aggravating about this is that there are lesser competitive models that allow for Bluetooth pairing with headphones. I did call them and they told me the model will only pair with keyboards. That was kind of crazy to me. This was almost a 5 star. I would recommend it because in other aspects it is a really nice TV. Since I can tell my friends about the workaround if they're so inclined I would recommend it.

Having said that, this is a very good TV for the price. Since this is not our main set, it was a good choice for the application.
