Don't buy.

This TV was recommended by the Rep, and had a very good picture quality. But ever since I got it, it would just reboot in the middle of a movie. The first 2 times it happened, I brushed it off, but this a recurring problem. Now it has reached the point where the screen just goes blank for several minutes. I haven't even had it for 3 months.

Some of these issues can be fixed by updating the firmware of your TV to the latest version (v6.5042 - released February 23, 2021). Still have the Sony Bravia from 15 years ago. I’ve never had problem with it. The set up was great and the first night watching tv, it was a great view. The next day however I started noticing the screen would start to fade to black until it was unwatchable. I did a hard reset several times and it kept blacking out. Wasn’t until I returned it, I found out from the geek squad this model does that. Why it does that? No one knows. Returned for a different television.

Poor software--crashes often

I expected so much more having had numerous Sony's in the past. This TV resets often, sometimes multiple times within a short period of time. I've updated the software at every opportunity, but it still continues. When it is working, it looks great, but the amount of times it fails is maddening! I wish I had purchased something else.

Disappointed!

Bought one November 13 and Geek Squad couldn’t get a picture. I called Optimum and they told me Geek Squad installed wrong by plugging in the wrong place. It worked for 6 days then broke 6 days later when the picture went away! Rescheduled a replacement and they came to install and there was a crack on the screen! So they took it back and waited for a3rd replacement, no word until I had to personally call , so now I have to wait until December 14 for a 3rd Sony flatscreen. Hope 3rd times the charm!

Great TV for a year

We bought a sony x800h series. With our old sony our blu-rays filled the total screen now with the new x800h we get black bars. Called best buy and trying to speak with your personal is like trying to call the white house in dc.No HELP!! Our blu-ray player is a sony we bought from you guys is a bdp-s6700 in 12/27/2018. You people are more interested in getting people sigh up for the GEEK SQUAD. Not to happy!!!!

On the supplied TV remote, press the HOME button.
Select Gear settings Settings.
Under TV category, select Picture & Display or Display & Sound.
Select Picture adjustments.
Select Advanced settings.
Select Motion.
If your TV has CineMotion setting, set it to Low or Off.
Select Motionflow.
Select Off.

Can I give it no stars?

First time no sound and the apps did not work. I had to reboot the tv to get it to work. Similar issue the second time and it started working the following morning. Best Buy told me I should have bought an extended warranty. Thanks a lot.

Everything for minor set up is way overpriced. TVs and all might go down for 100 to 50 bucks but they will kill you on overpriced set up. Not the best for Best Buy. I will definitely be looking for alternative stores and how much they charge. Customers please do your homework. I mean they charge you from 150 to 200 dollars for a 30 minute set up. But its mg fault for not looking at other stores.
