    You'd think buying a Sony it would last. It was a great picture while it lasted. I didnt buy the extended warranty of course so I have a tv that plays sound with no picture..very disappointed

    The TV/Sound bar combination has not worked properly since installation. This is the only equipment I have ever had installed by professionals and turned out to be a mistake. The literature with the equipment is lacking in understandable information. I will never buy another Sony product nor will I shop at Best Buy.

    Shuts off by itself and won't restart

    This TV has several major issues: once it is turned off, it will not turn back on. We tried just leaving it on all the time, but now, it has also started turning itself off (even though sleep timer & power-save options are turned off) randomly - will not restart after that. At times, the TV will turn on, but it is stuck on the SONY logo. We can get it restarted after a while by trying power restarts with advice found online from owners with same problem with this TV. We switched cable box, tried using surge protector, new remote batteries - nothing helps. This all began after only one year of use. Service call only made sure software was updated & did not solve problem.

    For an $800, 2020 Sony TV, I would think the kinks from the 2019 would have been worked out. The voice command only responds to YouTube. If you want it for any other application, you have to reset the permissions EVERY time.

      We regret to hear that you an issue with the YouTube app and the Bluetooth feature of the TV. We’d love to help you troubleshoot your issue by performing troubleshooting steps.

      In the meantime, we’ve recently released a firmware update to will improve the performance of the TV with key features, applications, and bug fixes. Make sure your TV runs the latest software. You can also check if the YouTube app has an updated version. Regarding the Bluetooth feature, the TV does not natively support Bluetooth audio out. This feature may work with a compatible external USB Bluetooth Adapter or third-party Bluetooth applications that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.

    Disappointing Connectivity

    Picture is good but wifi connections cuts out constantly. The wifi will turn itself off and not allow you to turn it back on without restarting the TV. My connectivity is not an issue. Not a TV to use for streaming using the built in platform.

Let's try to troubleshoot and isolate this issue. Please make sure that the software is updated as it includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements. Please try some of these solution below that may help fix the issue.

      Check your TV network status.
      Place the router close to your TV, then check if the signal strength has improved.
      It is recommended that the TV and router be at least 1 meter (3 feet) apart.
      Check other devices are connected to the same network. If other devices are downloading large-sized files, such as videos, the network speed may slow down. Cancel or wait until this activity completes and try again.
      Restart your TV and reset your router
      If multiple wireless devices or electric equipment, such as microwave ovens, are used at home, it may affect the Wi-Fi performance of your TV. Power off these devices when not in use or keep them away from your TV.
      Check the frequency band setting of your router (for dual band routers).

    Bought this TV as a gift. Placed it in my spare room so that it would not be seen or disturbed. Birthday arrives and tv is opend only to find it has a cracked screen. Called geek squad because i purchased extra warranty who then tells me that i need to call Sony for warranty repair. Sony stated that this was not a warranty issue to call the store. Explained this to the waco store and now 3 months have gone by with no follow up. I have always purchased my electronics from Bestbuy but with the lack of customer service now, it seems i will get them from a competitor from now on.

    I am unable to watch movies on the full screen. Really about the middle third. After doing some research online, I found out this is just the way it is with this Sony TV. (Shame on you Best Buy!) I sought help with the Geek squad as part of the warranty for which I paid. The gentleman called back once, but never called back the second time as promised, I'm assuming when he couldn't figure it out. I'm a tired nurse and the thought of trying to drag this big thing back to the store exhausts me...

    Issue after issue. HDR does not work well on TV getting screen flash lines throughout the screen, apps on tv will not play no matter what i do. Problems with prime, youtube, etc. I had an older sony 4k before this tv and "upgraded" for the HDR this has by far been the worst TV ive ever purchased. I was an avid sony fan but not anymore. Sony has definitely lost its reliability. (Ex best buy employee)

    $799.00 was spent and the TV is very blurry. I've tried all the setting options to no avail. I am disappointed with this 55in. I purchased the Sony in a 43in a month before this purchase and it is clear but the 55in is horrible
