I returned it immediately. If you only watch TV during the day in a bright room without curtains, IPS is fine. But any other scenario is better with a VA display, which most TVs are, because they offer much better black levels and contrast. IPS looks more grey than black in a dark room.

Setting it up was easy. Picture was fine out of the box, decent sound although not enough bass for my taste. Nothing a good sound bar can’t fix. But for the price I expected better. The remote is just awful. Long skinny and awkward to handle. My older lg tv had zero problems with glare. Lots of glare with this Sony, I have to close my blinds in order to watch tv which I hate. I will be demoting this tv to a bedroom when I find a replacement that meets my needs. Overall, a good tv just not great.

We value your input and appreciate the feedback. Using a brighter Picture Mode, like Vivid or Standard, will also help reduce reflection while watching TV or gaming. For best picture quality, do not expose the screen to direct illumination or sunlight also, avoid installing the TV in a room with reflective wall and floor materials.
