I purchased this Sony to replace a Samsung 55 inch that the screen went dark after only 3 years from purchase. This was my first experience with a Sony tv. I will say that I had to return my initial purchase as the tv would not turn on after only a couple days of use. BestBuy was able to exchange and give me a replacement tv with no issues. The Sony was easy to setup, has great sound and a great picture. I love the feel and function of the remote. The only downside so far is the limited number of apps that are available. I have to rely on my Amazon fire stick to download and/or use my apps. Otherwise, this was a great purchase.

Great quality, Sometimes a bit laggy OS. Lasted several years so far

Very high quality picture. Pairs excellently with a PS5. I love the remote that the TV comes with. However, my biggest complaint is that the Google TV built in can be laggy and occasionally unresponsive for a few seconds. I have had Sony, Samsung, and Toshiba TV's, and for some reason I always find the Smart Menus to be laggy and lacking. However, I will say the Sony TV has the best menu of the three brands I have owned. I will likely be purchasing an Apple TV to compliment this TV eventually.

This SONY Bravia TV has the sharpest image and natural colors that I have ever experienced. To top it off the sound system compliments and does justice to the wonderful viewing experience of this unique television set. Adding to this we have the perfect size remote control which include direct buttons to YouTube, NETFLIX, Disney+, and prime video. Other features such as voice commands and GOOGLE reay I am still to explore.

PROs: + Price for the picture is very good + Picture quality is good, with good viewing angles + Google TV is a nice OS (with caveats) + Good array of inputs + Thin bezel and good design makes it appealing + Ability to turn off "Smart TV" and set it up as a "dumb" TV should be a feature on all smart TVs CONs: - Black levels are poor, making it seem a bit flat - Audio from TV speakers demands an upgrade - Google TV is riddled with advertising which is extraordinarily annoying for a purchased product - Remote control is too thin and difficult to handle Purchased for my parents to upgrade their TV, and it is excellent for their needs. Unfortunately, they are getting older and these new-fangled technologies are slowly driving them mad. Google TV is a very good OS, and they seemed to pick up on it quickly. However, I do think they preferred the Roku OS which is a cleaner and more intuitive interface. The biggest annoyance I have with Google TV is the advertisements they drop in. For a purchased product, this feels intrusive and acts to trip up people who don't realize they are clicking on an advertisement. Seriously, Google, how much money do you need?? One quirk we had was when hooking up the Facebook Portal TV, it would cause the entire CEC system to fail. This isn't a fault of the TV but of the Facebook Portal device, yet it was frustrating to learn that we couldn't use CEC with the Facebook Portal TV installed. A workaround was to get an adapter that blocks CEC from the Portal, but it makes it harder to use now. The thin remote is solidly built, but it is so thin and the buttons are so small and illogically placed, it makes it more difficult for my parents than the old and more simple Roku remote was. Overall, a decent TV, but there are better TVs available now with better picture quality. I tried to stay all Sony for my parents' entertainment setup, and I'm glad they all work well together. But I wish these devices from Sony were better at communicating with each other too. It is frustrating have 3 different Sony remotes that won't work with the others.

Overall happy with purchase. Did not have much time research as my primary TV, a Panasonic plasma, stopped working. Purchased this the next day from what options were in stock. While I would have liked to go OLED, still just a bit too expensive for me. The picture quality is better than my old TV for my viewing conditions. Have not really evaluated off center viewing, so I can’t speak to that. Black levels are acceptable. Responsiveness of the GoogleTV functions is quick and works well. Setup process works well, but does take some time. The remote is long and thin making it somewhat awkward, but I use a Logitech Harmony remote to control TV, home theater Blu-Ray/receiver and home theater PC. I would recommend and buy again based on my experience so far, but everyone needs to evaluate based on their conditions and budget.

This TV is amazing it has great vision, sound, and the colors are great. The only problem is that it turns off without it having to and then it restarts.

We love our Sony TV that is in our owners suite. Great picture and quality.
