Sorry Sony but this TV is Not Recommended.

Bought it is August 2021 and now having weird issues pop up like the wi-fi completely lost connection. It took 2 hours and a software update to get it fixed which was not the fault of my Wi-Fi router or internet provider. Now the boot up takes 2-3 minutes before you can select an app to watch. In the last 24 hours the remote would not work, even after putting in new batteries. If I could return it I would, but now I have to deal with tech support which I am sure will lead to hours on the phone.

Second one is working well...

LG OLED… not clearance Sony Bravia.

Fair tv

I know they try to make it a benefit. I do think the color is a little worse than the sharp I was considering. Made a choice based on salesperson advice will use my own thoughts next time. Overpriced -now tv is almost 300 lest than I paid for it. Wont buy and make that mistake again at this store. That would have been good advice from sales

DON'T BUY THIS

After the stellar review by store member, I bought this TV. Was more $ than I wanted to pay but was assured it was the best option for watching TV. It WAS NOT! No matter what settings were used and tweaked, the picture was absolutely horrible. Would not recommend this to anyone. Very disappointed.

Smart apps crash - do not recommend

Assuming it is a new TV, make, and model I thought it would work without any issues. Every time I watch Netflix, Hulu, or any smart app the app crashes. It is extremely frustrating when I am trying to watch a 30 minute show and can't even get through it without the app crashing MINIMUM 3 time. Again, the TV is NEW. I should not be having these issues with a new TV. I do not recommend.

Check if the issue occurs when viewing content from other online video services.

Check your internet connection speed to ensure it meets or exceeds the recommendations.
Perform a power reset on the TV and streaming device.

Flickering green

- Make sure these apps are updated and check your internet speed as well.
- Check if the issue occurs when on the TV's home screen.
- Use the Picture/Sound symptoms feature of your TV to check the cause of the issue.
- If the issue doesn't occur while on the home screen, and after performing the Picture/Sound symptoms, check if the screen flickers while on a different input or apps.
- Restart your TV. To do that, simply press and hold the POWER button until a menu appears, then select Restart.
- Check the [Motion] setting
Press the (Quick Settings) button on the remote control, and select [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — [Picture] — [Motion] — [Motionflow] — [Off].
- Change the current setting of [CineMotion] to [Off].

Glitchy TV

The only solution we have found is to unplug it and plug it back in. Also the sound gets distorted during shows. We have to turn the TV off and then turn it back on to make it stop. I’m currently trying to see if there is some kind of warranty. We bought it in June it’s less than 5 months old. We are super disappointed Bc we switched from Samsung Bc we thought Sony would be better.

TV turns on by itself

One time it turned on and even connected to one of the apps and was displaying a show when we came home. Turning on was enough mystery but how did it connect to the app and start a show without anyone being present? Bestbuy gave us another one and this one has turned on a few times as well. Plan to take this one back and get another brand. Btw, the settings were checked several times to ensure the timer and auto on settings were off on both units. We like the TV if only it worked as it should which is the reason for the low overall rating.
