    This Sony 55" Class X80K replaced a 2000 Sony 36" Trinitron old CRT style which lasted 22 years; (and was still working). The reason for another Sony is the incredible durability and long life that I experience with Sony electronics. I'm very pleased with the picture quality and clarity difference in the new TV. It provides a better picture and detailed enough to see the football sail between the upright goal posts or into a receivers hands. It also plays old movies wonderfully whether from Turner Broadcasting or on an old VHS player enabled with the RCA to HDMI connection. Another benefit of the new Sony is having 4 HDMI's and that is a selling point-I use them all.
