I put a geek Warranty i hope they can fix the problem. Also tv update a lot!!!!

Posted .Hi George, We're sorry to hear that you're having this issue with your TV. This is definitely not the experience we'd like you to have. We'd love to help you troubleshoot your problem and turn this into a better experience.
Is black thin line visible when you're on the Home Menu of the TV or only when using a specific app or input? We also recommend following the steps below to troubleshoot your problem:
On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button to view the TV menu screen.
If the lines also appear on the menu screen, there may be an issue with your TV.
Perform a power reset or restart your TV:
Run the Self Diagnostics option on the TV (not available on all models).
Press the HOME button again to display the menu screen.
If the menu screen still displays the lines, a repair is required.
If the lines are not visible on the menu screen, check if the issue is resolved while watching TV. If the issue continues, an external source (such as a cable or satellite box, internet video device, or other devices like a DVD player) or cable connections could be the cause of the issue.

Sony set having defect

We are out of state for a few months now, so we'll have to sort this out when we return.

Not picking up closed captioning

Posted .Hi Easy, Thank you for choosing Sony. You can press the 123 (Control menu) button on the remote control to enable subtitles. You may also turn on or enable the closed caption or CC of the connected source such as Blu-ray player or Cable box for subtitles.

Not worth...

But this is not good. I would suggest not to buy this one. In fact..I forgot the return date or I would surely love to return this and get something worth it.

Nice Features; Reasonable Price

I bought it to upgrade my living room tv to a little larger model than the Sony I've had for the past 12 years. I'm very happy so far with the picture quality, sound and ease of setup. The price point is also very reasonable for someone like me, who is looking for a good, basic tv and who doesn't do a lot of gaming, etc.. I hope I like this one as much as my last Sony, which is still going strong and is now in another room of my home.

Very happy with purchase

The size was perfect for over the fireplace placement. The clear picture and sound are great! Set up was easy for us, as we had a tv mount already in place. The set up once it’s turned on was a little bit of work for me, as I a not very tech savvy, but was able to navigate through it. I connected my Apple TV to it that was a small challenge. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this tv.
