I've only had it a week, but so far so good. good sound, works well with Apple CarPlay. Would probably rate it higher once I get to figure all the function out.

I purchased this stereo to replace an older pioneer single din. The audio files will play via usb is great. For mp4 you need to convert the files to a 1280x720 resolution, and it will play them, unfortunately it is a little slow in terms of processing power. Your cellphone is much more powerful than this stereo is, They're still using a slower usb interface, usb c would be great, or even usb 3.0. The screen brightness is lacking, and adjusting the brightness doesn't do anything to view the screen when viewing in a bright enviroment. If they increase the resolution and screen brightness along this same price point, this would be a great unit. I cannot justify spending 1+k for a car stereo that would be close to the same functionality wise as an inexpensive one.

This is a great receiver for the money, I added it to a 2013 Jetta to replace the factory radio, then added a backup camera and an amplifier with a subwoofer. Wish it also had Android Auto, but that's the only downside I can find.

Glad I went with this one. My budget was $200-400 so I had several options. This one was priced good and is of good quality. CarPlay works fine and the display is plenty bright even on a sunny day with the windows down. The only reason I gave 4 star is because phone has to be plugged in for CarPlay to work. It has Bluetooth for music that does not require plug in but for maps and other features you have to plug your phone in. I’d recommend this to someone who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money and really just wants to upgrade there old CD player to something where they can have Apple Music and other basic features. Quality is good and it has worked very well so far.

We bought this on sale for $250 a few months ago. Honestly, when you couple it’s 6” touchscreen, usb input, CarPlay and Android Auto, and Bluetooth...you simply can’t touch another radio with the notoriety of the Sony name. Great (clean) amplifier output 50w x 4 maximum (something like 17x4 rms), PLUS 3 pairs of 2v preout RCAs, AND options for Sirius/XM hookup, aux, and a backup camera. Everything you could imagine you’d need in a car stereo. I bought a backup camera online and we’ve now got a feature packed stereo in the Jeep! Couldn’t be happier, sounds great!

Apple CarPlay works perfectly on here. It cleaned up the sound of my speakers very much. It’s very easy to use, works very fast and looks attractive.

Decent radio when on sale, at full price buy something better. I specifically bought this radio because it was on sale and it advertised as compatible with steering wheel controls. What they don't tell you unless you go deep into the Q&A or the manual before purchasing is that you need a separate optional adapter. This is a bit deceptive to describe something as compatible but in reality you need to buy an additional adapter for it. If you're only looking for a basic radio with back up camera capabilities, XM radio and Apple car play, this is a decent radio but only if it is on sale. If not, spend a bit more or keep browsing to find something better.

My daughters has an 04 Honda Civic and this system makes it like a new car ..it works great bluetooth is clear as a bell ..and connecting my iphone is soo user friendly ..just an extension of my phone..gps ..music ..vcard and all

What can i say , its a sony. Fit is good, looks good, sounds good even running through 20 year old factory kia speakers. Had several sony products and always last long time.

I don't know why I waited so long to install this, it has made my drives more enjoyable. I can now use my phone to control music, and a lot more. There are some thing that could improve, but you can upgrade to the next level and get wireless apple car play, and more options. For my purposes this was the best. It also has a volume knob which makes a huge difference especially when you do not have steering wheel controls.

I’ve owned this stereo for about six months now and it hasn’t let me down. Typical Sony quality which I expect it to last for a while. Sound quality is good if you tinker with the equalizer and other bass settings. FM radio reception seems a bit weak compared to my old stock stereo, but I finally have Apple CarPlay, which is the main reason why I bought this. It’s pretty snappy and very visible during the day. For the money, you’re getting a great receiver. I’d buy again.

I like the overall design of this radio. It has a pretty interface that functions easy. Only thing I haven't figured out is how to turn it off while vehicle is running. Not something I need very often, but it is perplexing considering I've never had an aftermarket radio that you can't turn off. Anyways, I have no other complaints. I mainly use it for the Apple Play. That part works well barring the occasional times when the radio won't connect, which is part of the reason why I wish I could manually turn off the radio to restart it. This doesn't happen enough to give me a negative feel for the stereo, so this is one I recommend.

I had trouble getting some of the functions to work. I am not real literate in technology and the instructions could have been plainer and more in detail, but I really like the radio.

My son loves his gift! He loves the Apple car play feature. I like that it can be hooked up to a backup camera.

This thing is super worth it it never lags the screen is responsive it connects to Apple CarPlay and Android auto super quick and best part of all it has a volume knob for fast volume up and down!

Relatively simple to install, wiring harness makes the job easier for sure. Good interface and audio customization options. Touch screen is a little laggy but it’s an excellent device with Apple CarPlay for the price

This Sony radio sounds great Bluetooth amazing she loves that u can play songs off iPhone , installing a couple scathing it’s is noticeable but great Sony radio I would highly recommend

Great fairly affordable head unit. Was everything I wanted (touch screen, volume knob, apple carplay). Highly recommended!

I love this Sony car stereo unit. It has Apple Play which is great, but sometimes you will find some quirky behavior when going from different I phone sources like Apple Music to Sirius/XM Good power Spend some time reading the instruction pages and learning how to use it. Best feature is having a volume knob instead of having to take your eyers off road to adjust volume. My hand rests on shifter and lines up nicely with the know.
