    Never again buying a Sony

    Green Line appeared on the screen 2 months after purchase. It was past my Best Buy return policy, so I had to work with Sony Customer Service - worst experience in my life! I have always bought Sony TV's expecting a quality product, and thinking that if I ever had an issue, Sony would take care of it's customers...what a joke. My claim got referred to customer relations because it could not be repaired and had to be replaced. They initially offered to have a replacement TV delivered to my house within a week, which I thought was great - but then a week after the TV was supposed to be delivered, they called and said the TV was unavailable and they would reimburse me for my cost. I asked that they replace with a comparable model since I bought the TV on sale and wouldn't be able to replace it right now at that price. They didn't return my call for a few weeks. Finally, got a hold of one of their reps, who said I could get a replacement TV shipped in a week. A week later, they called back and said that they couldn't ship the replacement and that I had to settle for my money back...I was so frustrated, I just agreed so I could be done dealing with them. Then they said it could take up to 6 weeks to get my money reimbursed...that's the last time I buy a Sony, I'm gonna try a Samsung and see if I have better luck, their TV's seem to be higher quality and they definitely are gaining on market share

    Returning...ASAP!

    Less than two weeks old and all apps have failed! I spent three days with customer service to resolve the issue. I was transfered to several "upper level Techs", and promised return call that came 24 hours late. Everything was rebooted, reset, tested, and retested and retested again!. I was passed onto at least 4 different techs with the same results. The last tech gave up and referred this to either, more tech support or custom service (he couldn't tell me who would be calling). At this point I want a replacement.. He informed me they would make a decision whether to continue to either repair or replace the unit. I informed him that I am the one to make that decision, not SONY and the decision is REPLACE! I want, and paid, for something brand new! I expect it to work out of the box, as advertised, not require repair right out of the box, then have SONY DECIDE IF they'll replace it !!!! This unit has FAILED along with SONY customer service !!!!! ....right out of the box !!!! Recommend to a friend ?!! I wouldn't recommend this to an EX friend !!!!     TV failed to turn on with less than 2 weeks use.

    Got a good deal on this TV. Bestbuy.com was nice enough to price match the lower Walmart's price. The picture was great! It was definitely comparable to LG, Samsung which I thought they were overpriced...that was it.... It was nice just for just 10 days to be exact. TV started to show failure to turn on. When it turned on once in a while, it made a loud weird noise that forced me to turn back off. I repeated this for 20 minutes. Plugging TV on and off, getting battery off the remote and everything. I am very disappointed and frustrated. I am in mid forty and I lived through the SONY Empire in my teens and twenties. They were the best back then with its quality and reputation. No one got even close. My opinion that the LG and Samsung names were over stated was wrong. No matter how nice the picture quality is, the paramount of any consumer electronic is dependability and reliability. I am returning this TV to best buy and getting an LG now, since it’s within the returnable period. I feel sorry for SONY.

    No Hulu, No Amazon Prime, how is this a SmartTV?

    I bought this as a gift for Christmas for my Mom and Grandpa, and my Mom mostly watches Hulu, then Netflix, then Amazon. Only Netflix is available. A ton of other random B level apps are on there, but I don't know how you can sell a TV in this market as a Smart TV when it doesn't run 2 of the top 3 SmartTV entertainment apps in the market. After hours with Sony tech support, there is simply no way to install Hulu or Amazon on this TV. We had to get a DVD player and hook it up to the TV so she could access the apps through that. For the extra money for the DVD player, I could have just bought a different tv that was *actually* a SmartTV and that would have run Hulu and Amazon. If you ONLY want Netflix then it is fine. Picture is good, color is good, etc. I gave it one star because I was specifically looking for a SmartTV and this really is NOT a SmartTV imo.

    picture quality is poor. adjusting might help?

    I decided to get this tv after my sharp 60 inch smart tv's sound would not always work when I turned the tv on. The sharp had amazing quality though. So I got this 60 inch Sony bravia tv and the settings are making the picture look horrible. It is extremely pixelated and it should not be after I just paid 900 dollars for it. I have messed around with the settings and it has helped a little but is still a little pixelated. If anybody knows how to fix this problem or if they could tell me what they have their settings on that would greatly help! And I just bought a 30 dollar hdmi cord from best buy also so that is not the problem. Debating wether or not I want to return another tv from best buy.. AGAIN!

We would like to recommend first to check the resolution received by the connected devices, to do so please press the DISPLAY button located in the supplied remote to make sure that your television is detecting a 1080p resolution, also make sure that the Wide Mode feature is set to FULL.     worthless tv

    This tv is annoying. The colors bleed like crazy. It gets blurry often. I constantly have to adjust the color and picture everytime I change the channel. I feel like I am watching a large 1960's tv. I contacted customer service and they said to contact their delivery team to arrange a pick up and refund. I am having no luck with that. I have had this terrible tv for 2 weeks. Please someone from your delivery team come get this tv so i can get a new one from you guys. Most likely a Samsung. I work from home so I will be here for pick up - Give me the day and time and I will be here. Name on order Daniel Calhoon

    ok since it is an LED/LCD TV it is brighter then my KDL52V4100, but the picture quality is by far lower then my 8 year old LCD, this 60R510 was just not meant for large screens what I believe, it's just not there for even $650, let alone $800, the bezel the whole TV seems real nice until you turn it on, then you start seeing curtains on the screen, when you turn all the contrast enhancer and black corrector up and you watch a dark scene it looks like Film burning, that's just ridiculous, it's no wonder why Best Buy doesn't have them on display.

    Save Your Money This TV Doesn't Deserve Sony Name

    I bought this tv two days after "Black" Friday. I can't believe I wasted the time and energy to buy this tv (which I ultimately returned and replaced with another Sony). By far an inferior product. The images were choppy, made football games almost cartoonish. Sony keep this up and you will forever lose me as a customer. Thankfully best buy returned this item and I found a much better tv on display. There is a reason why this tv isnt on display. Buyer beware!

    Had this TV a little over a year and a dark spot appeared. Tried reaching out to Sony and they never reached back out to me like they said they would. Will never purchase another Sony TV ever. Sony does not stand behind their products. Customer Service just told me that I had to drive over an hour to one of their repair shops if I wanted the problem fixed. I will be going back to Sharp which is way better than Sony. My Sharp is still going strong 6 years later.

    I've never left a review before, but I am with this one. We did a lot of research looking for a new BIG TV. We were very happy with the price and service, however we are NOT happy with the quality of this TV. The picture is very blurry and not sharp at all. We are returning and trying a 4K Ultra HD. So if you are looking for a great picture, I would not recommend this TV. If you are just looking for a big TV at a good price, this is the one.

    Well I thought I was getting a great product but it had fatal screen problems before I had a chance to finish setup. And then Best Buy had no more available and could not replace so all I got was a painful 2 hour call to try to get it replaced but they have no more so I'm just out my $$ till they come take it back.

    Low Price, Low Quality

    I replaced an old school 1080p LCD TV with this one. I immediately regretted it. The best thing about this TV is the price. Heavy motion blur, not very sharp edges. The only other positive is the screen brightness. As with most things in life...You get what you pay for.

    Purchased this for my man cave. Great picture for 6 minutes. Then nothing. After a 25 minute hold on the phone for a Sony tech, I was told my brand new 6 minute old tv needed service. Guess what I told Sony! I now am the proud owner of a 60" Samsung tv that works.

    Am enjoying my Sony 60" T would of given the 5 stars... Had some delivery issues due to miscommunication from store and delivery dept. Poor internal communications Had to take off of work 2 days in a row! Very unhappy on how it was handled !!

    This t.v. is terrible. I would never buy another Sony TV. It randomly stopped showing picture after 1 year of use. Now, it shows the picture in a white washed negative image.

    This tv is the only one without a gaming mode, it cannot run any old wii or xbox360 games without extreme input lag, waste of money and a dissapointment

    It was on sale and my wife bought it without ever seeing it. Once we received it and had it set up we noticed why it was on sale. Picture was terrible. We returned it.
