I replaced my previous 46" Sony Bravia TV with this one based on Best Buy sales associate discussions and recommendation. It is as good or better than he said it would be - sharp clear picture, bright color, and the best thing is it plugged right into my existing home theater setup! Plug and Play at its best.

Recently, I purchased a brand new black Sony 65" LED 2160 p. Smart 4K Ultra HD television. I have to admit that I am biased. I have owned Sony televisions since 1978. I have always found them to have the best picture since the Trinitrons. They are also reliable, durable and maintenance-free, while retaining the highest resale value on the market. The picture is great for watching any programming or gaming. While Sony televisions prices tend to be the most expensive on the market, that is certainly nothing new. Sony televisions have always been among the most expensive, but you get what you pay for. As a former audio-visual equipment dealer, I have found that a warranty is only as good as the product. I have taken one Sony television I purchased used in for repairs in over 35 years and I have owned at least one at all times. I have never taken a Sony television I purchased new in for warranty service or out of warranty repairs. I give Sony the highest recommendation without the slightest reservation!

I looked for a new 65" TV for a while. A friend recommended the Sony with advanced color processor. That model was a bit too steep price wise, even on sale. Loved the picture on this model and the price was right. Utilized the Geek Squad for installation. They did an excellent job!

I researched several different brands before choosing this one. I usually purchase Samsung products but the features on this TV made me reconsider. We placed this TV in our media room which turned out great. I will say it sounds much better with a sound bar. The features are easy to use and the picture quality is great especially when watching movies.

I'm very happy with the XBR65X810C, the picture is fantastic. There isn't a lot of 4k content yet, but I've viewed some of the YouTube 4k videos, and they look amazing. This TV will be ready for the 4k future. I did have a problem with the quality of the picture when I first set up the TV, but it turned out it was because it was plugged into an Onkyo A/V receiver and the Onkyo was causing the issue. Once I upgraded the firmware on the Onkyo and set the HDMI inputs on the Onkyo to "bypass" mode, the picture quality improved dramatically. The bottom line is to make sure that you don't have multiple devices trying to "manage" the video because they can interfere with each other. It's best to have the TV handle the advanced video settings (i.e. upscaling, motionflow, black adjust, etc).

I bought this for my new media room and it's wonderful. Beautiful picture, easy setup. The up scaled video on some of the older shows are a little grainy but that's because the original resolution was 525 NTSC. Not much you can do about that but 4K native resolution is spectacular . Not a lot of 4K content out there yet, but it will come.

I've had the tv for about two months now and i love this tv. Pros size 65 inch picture connectivity Cons the not perfect part small amount of flashlighting that notable when watching anything that should have black bar on top and bottom like a widescreen movie. also not enough options when it come to choice of widescreen modes. Also the on board down facing speakers leave a lot to be desired so I ended up having to buy a sound bar and woofer with it, problem fixed. Also one thing I didnt like was that when the tv was on display at the store, the display inferred that this model had a trilouminous display. It does not. I researched the fact on the internet at the store, unfortunately the website I found was as incorrect as much as the store display was misleading. I don't see myself as a difficult customer so I just said to myself "C'est la vie". Again still a great tv.

Liked the picture, liked the size, liked the weight of the TV, but sound was so weak, we had to go back & buy a sound bar. Then with the sound bar, the base makes the sound bar block the remote signal unless you hold it up and point down.

Great TV - picture is great & it was a good price. Unfortunately, we've had to reboot it twice already (in about 1 1/2 months) which resets all the logins & other settings. Hopefully this was just due to getting it updated. Hoping this won't continue. Other than that this is a great product.

Old 50inch plasma went down on me during the NFL NFC championship weekend. So I had to make a decision quick. This TV is great. I love the android TV integration which makes it easy to stream various content. I also have Netflix and Amazon prime content that I am able to stream in 4k.

While selecting a 4K TV, I had concern that because of the upscaling from 1048p to 4K, the movie effect normally fades away. This Sony TV completely retains the movie effect, and both Netflix and Youtube videos look amazing with accurate color reproduction and realistic brightness. Android TV is fun and easy to use and supports a lot of apps, adding value to your experience.

My first tv with real internet capabilities. More importantly, resolution is amazing, screen is huge, and it very easy to use! Plus by being mounted it actually clears a lot of floor space in my room despite being so much bigger. Installation was also smooth. Live it! Love it!

This is my first Sony TV purchase and I love it! Imaging is clear and it is a smart TV with access to You-tube. I had it for almost a month now and no issue so far. I read some poor reviews regarding the imaging issues of some other Sony HDTV and hope that it doesn't happen to this TV. Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with my purchase.

I prefer Sony's picture over Samsung's. Samsung's colors are too bold; unnatural. Sony's colors seem more realistic.

Good TV with the lights on

I recently was in the market for a large LCD TV for the game room. The main purpose of the TV was for PS4 gaming and watching sports. Inital setup was simple following the quick setup guide. I had the TV set up and running in a short amount of time. Once the TV was up and running, my initial impression was good. No detectable motion blur, no noticeable input lag from video games and it performed well in a brightly lit room. The main problem started while playing a dark game in a dark room. The gray uniformity issue became very pronounced. There was a large amount of light bleed (flashlight effect) coming from the corners in dark scenes. The attached picture shows what I am talking about, but it was more pronounced in person. I returned the TV for another thinking it may have been this set and the second one had the same issue. I ended up returning that one and purchasing a smaller LG OLED tv instead. I have been happy with that purchase. So, in short, if you do not expect to be watching/playing dark scenes in a dark room or not particularly sensitive to light bleed, this TV might be the right one for you. The value is definitely there on this set.

I love this TV. I've always wanted a Sony TV however the price-point was always just above my budget. This TV was on sale and I was able to purchase it two months ago. The picture is crystal clear and the sound is great. I've gotten several compliments from friends. So far so great! PS. My only issue (not with the TV but with the Best Buy Service) was that when I purchased this TV I requested carry-out service to my car since it's 65" and one person cannot load this into a car without a struggle. I was told Best Buy was short-staffed and that I was going to have to have to figure out a way to get this gigantic tv into my car by myself. When I asked if they could pull a salesperson off the floor to help me the person I spoke to simply said that wasn't an option and told me "Good Luck." So even though I love this TV my overall experience wasn't that great when I purchased it.

Bought this just because I had to have a 4K . So far so good 65 inches is certainly big enough. Was cheaper then Samsungs version. I have bought Sony, samsung, Toshiba, and LG. The only one I had trouble with was LG. Never buy that brand again.

We bought this TV the week before the Superbowl it was on sale at our local bestbuy. We bought it on Saturday and on Sunday evening it stopped working. I could get no picture or sound just the light on the bottom of the TV came on. After research online I tried to reset the TV nothing would work. Monday we took the TV back to Bestbuy and got another one. I was a little worried about getting the same one, but i'm glad we did. It turns out that the new one has been great. We love the picture it is awesome. Really like the android operating system. The only thing about the tv is the sound was not too good, but we already had a surround system. Bestbuy was great to work with no problem with the return. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a 4K TV. 3-4-2015 We have had the TV for a month now and still working great!
