This is the first Sony I have bought with the external power block. I've bought a LOT of tv's. Samsung, Sony, LG only. TV won't turn on with remote or tv button. Called Sony support. Very nice, helpful. Scheduled someone to come out to repair it. They said it would only be a couple days. They ordered the parts. Still don't know how they decided what parts to order. So, hopefully this repair place they contracted is competent and doesn't send out some quarter wit. To be continued.
