    The blacks and whites are very good, also the colors are more realistic than any television I've ever owned

    Sony Television XBR65-930D - Don't You Do It!!!!!

    I had the TV for about 7 months before I started to have problem with the Android TV (See Picture). I kept getting messages on the screen that would not go away for 15 to 30 minutes no matter what button I pushed. For example, “Programming Guide is not responding, do you want to close it.” Apps started crashing all the time while I wasn't using them. I would get the Android error "X has stopped working" and I would have to click OK on the TV remote even if I was watching something on my Netflix, XBOX or Apple TV. Also, when I go the menu to view the apps I would see two and sometimes three (duplicate) NETFLIX applications. The technician disabled a feature on my television so that it would stop the messages from popping up, but I feel that I have lost some features on my television as a result. Features that I paid to have. There were many times the television would just reboot and to get it to work properly again I would have to rest the television which meant I would have to retype in all my password again for Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. The internet would disconnect for no reason, all my other devices in the house were working properly. This made watching Netflix or anything I needed to stream impossible via WiFi (I don't have a cable near by). I had the technician help me trouble shoot the television and he remoted into the television to try and get it to work but several weeks later it would keep rebooting. The picture quality is not as good as my older plasma television. Regular high definition television looks often like standard definition television. I have the latest update so updating the television is not a problem. I really wanted to give this TV a chance seeing all the good reviews about it. At this point I wanted either a refund of the purchase price, a credit toward the purchase of a brand-new television or a brand-new television shipped to me. I have taken enough hours off work to enable me to purchase a new television. If SONY wants to keep me and prevent me from going back to SAMSUNG, then the options listed above are their only choices. So I sent this to Sony and this is their response. *** Thank you for contacting Sony Electronics Inc. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Your file has been forwarded to our department. Please be advised that Sony provides a standard 1 year warranty for initial failures to be covered by the manufacturer. Once the warranty expires, it will be the customers responsibility to cover any repair cost on the unit. Due to the fact that the unit is beyond the manufacturer's warranty, we regret to inform you that we are unable to assist you with the repair/exchange. I sent them this response *** I thought you might say that but I have been fighting with this TV since July 2017 which was well within the warranty. You only patched up the problem you didn't fix the main problem. This has been going on for a long time and I shouldn't have to pay for this. I could see if I had no problems until after the 1 year warranty but this was going on during the warranty period. I would like you to elevate my case to your supervisor. This is not right. This is their response ***Thank you for contacting Sony. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Please be advised that Sony provides a limited warranty for initial failures to be covered by the manufacturer. Once the warranty expires, it will be the customer's responsibility to cover any repair cost on the unit. However, Sony values you as a customer, and as a one-time good customer relations we can check other options for your TV. Please have the unit physically checked by an authorized service center of Sony and get the diagnosis and repair estimate. Once you have it please email it to us together with the copy of the proof of purchase so we can review possible options for you. The nearest service center to me is in Belcamp, MD which is 50 miles away from me. I called them and they said they haven't repaired SONY TV's in years. The owner prior did but they do not. I have to take it to Best Buy Geek Squad, get a estimate and hope stays honorable. Stay tune but definitely avoid for the time being this model.

    GREAT TV. ONLY ISSUE WAS I WISH THERE WAS A LITTLE MORE ROOM WHEN IT CAME TO PLUGGING IN THE HDMI CORD.
