I did some on-line research to determine what was available in the new 4k TV's. I learned what I needed and went to local Best Buy to see them in action. I knew the Sony XBR-65X930 was highly rated. It looked great in the store. I was also looking at the Samsungs since they are a little cheaper. After some serious deliberation and a talk with the sales rep I chose the Sony. BEST decision ever! It was easy to connect and update. The picture is AMAZING----and that's still with the 1080i my cable box provides. Way better then my old 1080 DLP tv ever was. I have an upscaling blue ray player and put in a disc. Even better. I can't wait to get a 4k player and some 4k movies to enjoy the full experience.

This TV is so awesome the Picture is so clear and the colors are so bright. The Best Buy sales man was so helpful I asked so many questions but they took the time to answer me very happy thank you.

Sony has a strong entry in the large screen 4K market. These 65 and 75 inch models.should give Samsung and Visio a run for their money. It's been a while since Sony big screen TVs were this good.

Doesn't get much better than this honestly, unless you're looking to spend over 5K. Top quality, natural looking colors, GREAT motion rate, no blur, and rich deep darks. Highly recommend!!!

Always been a Samsung guy, but this picture was much better to us. Great for both movies and sports and the ups along feature is top notch.

I am just thrilled with my purchase. I have and will continue to recommend the Sony to all my friends and family. The picture is second to none. Hooking up components proove to be easy.

We have been trying to decide whether or not it's time. You know what I mean - your Sony is 10 years old but there's nothing really wrong with it yet. We've been "Sonians" forever and wouldn't even think of any other brand unless there was no SONY brand! It sells itself. This particular model actually belongs in EVERYBODY'S home - without question. There is not a single negative. Chip, our Best Buy Sony guru didn't have to do a thing but look good and smile when shaking our hands. His boss was just as fabulous in his position as well!

I purchased this TV yesterday. I got it home and set it up. The picture quality is excellent however it only lasted less than 24 hours! Now the TV has a large multi-colored band at the bottom of the screen taking up 1/3 of the entire screen area! See photos. It appears to be a thermal issue. I can turn the TV off and wait a few minutes and the TV will be fine for about 5 minutes. Then the large multi-colored band starts to reappear! I can't believe this! Less than 24 hours after the purchase! So, I had to re-box this piece of low quality merchandise to take it back to the store tomorrow. I will never buy a Sony product again. I've had issues with the quality control before. I'm done! This was supposed to replace my working 10 year old Panasonic 1080p plasma TV!

This was a hard purchase to make. Years ago I only bought Sony tvs. They just were the best. When they switched to led I had a Sony and a Samsung. Side by side Samsung hands down had a better picture and Samsung's customer service was wonderful to work with. When we were shopping to up grade we were looking at Samsung. When we would ask the different sales people what tv they would recommend almost all would recommend the Sony. Taking a chance that's the way we went. So far it has been very good tv. I did call Sony for help with a issue and their customer service still needs a lot of help.

The picture and color on this TV are quite good overall. The TV does lag when you input many instructions in the menu system. The TV becomes unresponsive and you have to wait several minutes until the TV catches up. The HDR is set manually so if you set the TV to show a 4K HDR Blu Ray and then change to a standard Blu Ray, the picture may be dark and lack the correct contrast. Smart TV features work well.

I have been a Sony customer for 15 years and they always deliver a superb product. It is easy to setup, use, and the picture modes are awesome. 3D, Smart and 4K. Worth the money.

The first TV Best Buy delivered went dark 5 days after delivery when we were prompted to update the software. It just stopped working and wouldn't go back on. Best Buy was able to get another TV to us within a week. We had ordered Geek Squad installation so we didn't have to disconnect the TV that wasn't working and haul it into a store. That would have made the incident more frustrating. They sent out a new TV, installed it and took the defective one away. The picture on the TV is excellent and everything seems to be working well. But for the rocky start I would give this 5 stars.

This TV has an excellent picture and love the smart TV built in features. I do not like the limited customization available on the Home screen, and how there are apps and selections for which I have no interest that I cannot remove. I also am a bit concerned how it can stop responding correctly to commands, like adjusting the volume going to my surround sound, and the only remedy is to restart the TV completely. I think this is mostly bugs within the Android OS running on this TV, and I have seen similar in other Android devices, so think it is not the TV quality itself but the OS.

I got a good deal buying this TV when it went on sale! Good picture quality, easy to use and set up. Since it's a Google TV sometimes it's buggy but it's ok.

for the price you can't beat it. awesome picture, awesome sound. the black and whites look incredible. the sony is top notch. looks amazing playing games and watching movies on.

Great TV picture , everyday I am shocked as to how good it looks ..how deep the contrast is ..the blacks are very impressive ...buy with confidence as you won't regret it.

Really like the picture, color and sound. It is so new that I can't really give you much on durability, but if that turns out to be good the tv will be a great investment

I was looking for a TV with excellent picture. As most of our viewing is u-verse HD shows, I wanted to either by a very good 1080p HD, or to buy a very good UHD TV with good upscale processing of HD video. The video is excellent in all lighting, has great contrast, great color rendition, quite viewable at all distances and angles in our family room. My wife loved watching her Hallmark Christmas flicks. "The Voice" looked awesome on this screen. Can't wait for see 4K video. Audio - you've got to get a soundbar or theater system for it - the internal speakers suck.

Sony is always a good purchase but this tv has an awesome picture right out of the box, especially in dark scenes. Much more vibrant colors that pop right off the screen.

The picture is beyond beautiful, however, the first TV I got had light bleed in all four corners, the screen on the replacement was bad four hours after it was delivered, and now I have the third and it appears to be perfect. I bought Sony because my first flat screen Sony is still working perfectly after 15 years. I was depending on this one to do the same. When the first one exhibited bleed issues, I went ahead and bought Best Buy's five year protection plan - just in case. I would recommend the protection plan. They just don't make 'em like they used to,
