The TV is very thin and puts out amazing 4k content. The blacks are very black and the colors are vivid. I love how the picture brightness adjusts to the room's lighting. The sound quality is much better compared to other TVs, which eliminates the need for a sound bar in my bedroom.

I'd been sweating an OLED tv for years. Big movie buff. Wanted to get the right one. And even more so - did not want to get a lemon! Everyone's two dreaded words. The picture is amazing, and the upscaling is great, and the the picture options are user friendly and effective.

I dropped the box and strictly stream nowadays, installing apps is easy, and the picture quality is absolutely mind blowing.

The HDR is simply stunning. I geek out at how good Dolby Cinema looks on this. I got the TV w/ the Black Friday specials - which was an absolute steal for a TV of this quality! But do yourself a favor and get the Belkin Ultra HD High Speed cables. They will fix the problem of intermittent flashes of a black screen. This caused me so much frustration that I had to share my solution. My set-up is Sony AH8 TV (which I love!!!), Apple 4K TV (which is pricey but great if you're in the Apple universe already), and Onkyo TX-NR686. I purchased the Belkin Ultra HD High Speed cables to fix Intermittent flashes of a black screen, and they worked!!! :) From internet research, it appears this is an HDMI hand-off issue. I previously tried Monoprice Certified Premium cables 18GPS since they were the cheapest - but those didn't work. Then I tried KabelDirekt UltraHD 8K cables - those were a little better, but still didn't fix the problem either. So if you're experiencing this same frustrating problem with the intermittent flashes of a black screen. you'll just have to suck it up and purchase the Belkins - they really do solve the problem.

This Sony OLED has a beautiful smooth image without the harshness of some LCDs. Nice to finally have 4K. Set up could not have been easier. So far am extremely satisfied.

A Really Great Upgrade

AWESOME OLED TV WITH A GORGEOUS PICTURE!

Not as bright as a QLED/LED but more than bright enough for a dark room. I'm not a gamer so I only use it for movies and the picture is absolutely stunning whether you're using Netflix, 4K Blu-Ray, etc. If you're into movies, you won't regret it if you get this TV. I thought about getting a QLED but I've been too spoiled with OLED. I did get burn-in on my 2016 LG OLED 55E6P in a little under 3 years but I had purchased a Geek Squad 5 year extended warranty (which I very highly recommend because Best Buy covers burn-in). When they came to my house and confirmed the burn-in, not only did they give me store credit for the amount I spent on the tv, they also let me keep the OLED with the burn-in which was very watchable. But the technology for burn-in has gotten much better and I purchased another extended warranty for the Sony A8H just to have piece of mind. Android OS is a little slow sometimes but not bad. Can't say enough about how beautiful and gorgeous the picture on this TV set is. Hope this helps and Happy viewing!

This is correct. TV technology has gotten better with regard to burn-in/ image retention issues. Organic LED displays (OLED) may experience image retention if an image is continuously displayed for a long period of time or the same image is repeatedly displayed. This is due to the characteristics of the materials used to achieve high-definition imaging. To protect your TV screen, avoid using images that may cause image retention. The good news is that we have taken steps to protect the TV screen from image retention like Pixel Shift and Panel Refresh found within the TV settings. Thank you for choosing Sony! -Sam

I have owned Sonys in the past, as well as LGs, and I much prefer the natural color on the Sony. It is not over saturated. The OLED has incredible blacks and reminds me of my Plasma Pioneer that I owned years ago and was my first letterbox format TV. I highly recommend this TV

I was very impressed with the picture and sound. It has true blacks and vivid colures that I always love. I will give it time to get a long term view of my purchase. I also got the Bose 700 sound bar to add to it and its a great mix. So far its the best tv experience that I have ever had!

Only gripe is that it tends to disconnect from my WiFi intermittently which is annoying. I have an Amazon 4K fire stick attached to the TV which never has any connection issues with my Wifi. Also don’t forget to buy a sound bar as the on board speakers are average.

Bought it on sale so only cost a hand, not the whole arm. Picture is amazing. Even the wife that usually says she can't tell what looks good commented on it. Oled style blacks are in a world of their own. Speakers were ok, but I got a sound bar. Paired easily. I haven't had any issues yet.

I can't get over how dark the blacks are and how vivid each color is displayed. Navigation is logical, even for someone old enough to have teenagers. So happy with Sony that they got this one right.
