I had been looking for a new TV for awhile and wanted an OLED but couldn't justify the cost to myself until BestBuy ran a sale to compete with primeday. The picture on this TV is great and the viewing angle seems like its almost 90 degrees. A lot of TVs have pretty clunky smart TV systems but the built-in Chromecast on this TV works perfectly. I don't even have a HDMI hooked up, just an ethernet cable with Netflix and Youtube TV, which run seemlessly. I highly recommend this TV to anyone looking to upgrade, especially if they put it on sale again.

The picture is amazing, especially the clarity in dark scenes, the bright brights and black blacks. Watched Avatar and Avengers Infinity War in the past week - both blew us away. Android TV interface works really well and fast, and it intelligently controls a Sony Blu-Ray player automatically. My short wish-list: 1) at this price, the remote should be back-lit. 2) I wish it could use the built-in speaker (projects right from the glass panel) as a center channel speaker - which the A9G can. 3) make Apple TV+ available as one of the Android TV apps.

The best OLED TV!

This tv has exceed all of my expectations. The contrast on this tv is superb!! It was the tie breaker for me, between the CX and A8H. The darks weren’t so heavy on the A8H when compared to the LG CX. I am an average tv user, I mostly watch Netflix and cable tv, so this was perfect me. I don’t play any video games, so no need for 2.1 hdmi. My room is dark which is why I preferred an OLED over a QLED. Overall, I am very happy with my A8H and I’d highly recommend looking into getting geek squad protection for your investment!

Upscaler is great along with the motion handling. HDR effect is good but not great. Color is very very good otherwise. Because I do watch TV some in daylight I am biting the bullet and trading it in for the z8h.

A huge upgrade compared to my last TV that I owned. When it came time to purchase, I was debating to purchase this Sony or the LG CX. The Sony had a slightly better picture and more vibrant colors than the CX. The stand for the TV is also really nice if you plan to put it on furniture rather than hang it on the wall. The stand allows you to choose whether you want your TV lifted low or high. With a soundbar underneath the TV, you'll definitely want to choose the high option so that the soundbar does not block any of your screen.

I waited and bought it on sale which really sealed the deal. The additional $180 which I got also made the purchase a must have . Even though I failed to use these points on time , Best Buy restored them (three times) already so thanks for that. This tv is widely regarded as the best tv of 2020 by just about every metric used by independent reviewers. Stressing the word independent here. I’ve also shopped for audio products at serious online sellers and Best Buy were the Best value

I have a Samsung Q90R in living room and when I compare with the Sony Oled I say waw. Perfect for moderate lit rooms. Does go too bright for multi window rooms. This is why I went with lcd in living room. The sound quality is amazing, no soundbar needed for a bedroom. Bass is enough to enjoy the music. Image processing and the color are fantastic. Better color reproduction then Samsung QLED. Sony know how to build a solid tv. Wish it came with new remote(with backlit buttons).

Better than LG CX

Just be careful mounting it and if you're replacing an existing mounted TV you'll most likely have to adjust the mounting height on the wall to be lower as the mounting holes on the tv are lower. Speakers are ok, not much space for good speakers on an OLED but I have it hooked up to my surround sound with optical audio. No negatives, buy this over the LG CX and you won't regret it. I bought this during Thanksgiving for $1k off and it was about the same price as the LG CX at the time.

The deep vibrant colors and clarity are breathtaking. I've been flirting with this purchase for months now. I finally squeezed the trigger on 03.21.2021. I literally traveled to BestBuy weekly just to take a view of it. I have compared it to the Samsung, and I just believe that Sony is the clear winner. I have owned both brands, and I am completely smitten by Sony. My only concern is that the lack of HDMI 2.0 may impact my experience of my future PS5 (if ever I can ever find one) purchase.

And the response was alway OLED. Then I needing to make a judgement call on the expense. I get the news, football games, basketball games, the tour de France, and the countless other things that I get from the TV. So I needed to pay for something that will last two decades like my last TV. The true black of this Sony OLED makes colors pop and add a surreal picture contrast. Ease of Android TV platform is something I really love too. I have always been a fan of the Sony Bravia engine but this far exceeded my expectations. I find myself watching more TV just to appreciate it. If you're in the market for an upgrade I would recommend this everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Sony products can be a bit more expensive but the TV more than makes up for the additional cost.

A nice upgrade from a Pioneer Plasma

Wanted to upgrade to 4K for a few years but nothing was an upgrade until I saw the Sony Oled. The CX looked good, but didn't seem enough improvement over the plasma. The A8h motion processing and video handling one me over. The handling of 480p and 720p are very good on this set for older shows. 4K blue rays look incredible. Only issue was TV turning itself on, but found that setting and disabled it.
