I've been quite happy with this set. After many months of use, I continue to find this set so satisfying to watch (no matter what the content). Although I also own an LG OLED set, I prefer to watch the Sony because it appears that the colors on the Sony seem more realistic and brighter. Both my wife and I really like this set.

I went in with the intention of buying an LG OLED. After viewing and listening to the TV the salesperson asked me to check out this Sony. I was sold on it after watching it. After 5 months I still walk by from the side of it and stop to say that I can’t believe that something so thin can be such a great picture even from directly beside it. Buy this TV !

Out of the box color did not require any calibration. Picture is crisp even in a well lit room. I researched led tvs then went to oleds. I looked at the LG but it would need calibration for proper viewing. Only con that i can think of is that the hdmi is not 2.1 which doesn't bother me because i do not game on it. Just watch tv shows, sports and movies.

Software set up is moderately difficult. Sony made questionable choices on software set up restrictions. Poor choice not to include RCA audio output port. Moderate quality support. The unit packaging is quite good allowing the unit to be mostly unboxed, remaining upright while being set up for mounting. I am hearing impaired, but my wife is not, so she listens to the TV through the speakers while I need headphones. There is no RCA audio output for my headphones. The 3.5 mm jack cuts out the sound on the speakers. This leaves the optical audio as the only choice for my headphones. I tried an optical to RCA converter and was not getting sound out of the headphones. My first check was to make sure the TV settings were correct. I browsed the web pages and kept running into conditional statements "if your TV . . . then." So, more research into answering the questions. In the end I though I had the settings right, but was still not sure, so I called support. Support kept sending me links to web pages and quotes from web pages. I had done that and been there. Once in a while the tech had me wait while he "checked something out." I had the distinct impression that I knew more than the tech did and he was consulting with someone who actually knew the answers. Five minutes with the knowledgeable person would have saved many hours of my time and the tech's time. The problem ended up not being with the TV, but the optical-to-RCA unit. I could have discovered this much quicker had the tech been able to answer a few simple questions. The issue is Sony's decision to a) not provide an RCA output, b) not to allow the 3.5 mm jack to work while keeping the speakers on, c) making it difficult to navigate the web pages, and d) staffing their support line with folks who's job it is to read web pages instead of knowing the product. The great part of the support is that the tech's stayed with me through all of the frustration, spending many hours of their time patiently working through the troubleshooting on an issue that was not theirs to begin with.

Fast moving sports are smooth. Tv build is solid but the legs can u a bit woobly but if its on a wide tv stand it should be no problem. For a $1800 price as of November 2020, from the original price of 2700, not a bad deal for a mid range 4k tv. Even my geriatric parents are very impressed with this tv and talk about how awesome the picture is.

The clarity is amazing and the sound superb - the only lacking point being that I sometimes wish certain scenes where a little brighter. But the OLED is definitely a HUGE step up from my previous LCD tv.
