||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OLED picture quality is great. the 65" size is great ( replace a 50" ) NOT fond of all the SMART options, I am a simple guy, most of these seem to add no value to quality of picture or sound ( use a Sony sound bar). But, OLED quality requires the current SMART TV fad. so, I put up with the added requirements to make the system work. for our budget, the extra expense of OLED is well worth the price.

We have had it for about 1 month now and have had no issues. The picture is so crystal clear and the sound is great. It’s easy to set up and easy to navigate. The bad: if your looking for a tv for next gen gaming look at the LG. How did Sony not do HDMI 2.1 on this? Had I not gotten such a deal on this (1600 for the 65”) it would be going back for the LG

The picture coming out of this TV is superb. Granted it doesn't have HDMI 2.1 but I don't intend to use it for gaming. The Android app is nothing new to me because I use Nvidia Shield on my other non smart TV.

While we are pleased you are satisfied with the exceptional quality & superb performance of our XBR65A8H, we are sorry you are encountering heat issue from the front. The TV is designed with slots and openings for necessary ventilation. To ensure reliable operation and to protect it from overheating, these slots and openings must never be blocked or covered. As a general guideline, the rear of the TV should be 2 to 6 inches away from the wall and the sides of the TV should have about 4 inches of ventilation space.

This is no comparison to the most of TV sets in the market. Though regular local channels look like any other digital screen due to poor digital transmission signals. To get better pictures I am using Android TV boxes that can give 4K signals to Sony TV OLED. I am very happy that I bought this TV set. Other function that Sony TV provides is to choose local channels also I really like it. For example, when I want to watch channel 2.1, I do not need to push 2.1. It comes out automatically by just pressing 2 like I used to do in Analog days. It has been very annoying to press 2.1. This function solved for me. it could be there already for all TV sets. I may be too an old man who is behind the latest technology.
