It does a lot better job than my Samsung flat screen.

It is not quite what I expected as I still can't get the awesome deep black and bright colors you see on display, plus now I've been noticing the TV turns on automatically at random times and there is no setting to disable this. The TV also doesn't fully turn off which is one of the reasons I suspect it turns on randomly, seems to power button just puts it to sleep; it would be great to have the option to fully turn off every time rather than having to unplug to achieve this. I can't comment on sound quality as I use a sound bar and of course there is no comparison.

Really good TV with some good extras

The remote has voice activation and there are internet for wired and wifi built-in, as well as USB for inputting information or using a mouse during the setup. It has multiple modes for sound and video, like sports, movies, etc.. I like the TV, but I also like Samsung and LG TVs also.
