The few things I can complain about are one not the biggest fan of android tv, secondly it’s Sony so they should have the latest gaming features but it doesn’t, and third but biggest down fall is the audio. The audio for tv speakers is good but it lacks volume. I rarely raise the volume past 15 and when I get past 20 it just doesn’t seem to get any louder the higher I go.

For A8H, the TV will up to 18Gbps signal for 4K HDR and eARC. The eARC is a new HDMI 2.1 standardized function which adds support for the latest audio formats, in addition to audio formats supported by the existing Audio Return Channel (ARC) function.
For low sound level, you can configure various settings related to the TV’s sound such as sound quality and sound mode for sound quality that suit to your liking. You can also adjust the sound level of current input. Press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — the desired option.

TV disconnects home theatre sound

For some reason, the TV disconnects the “external audio” in the middle of watching a show or movie. We have to shut down the theater receiver and try to reconnect - often multiple times. This did NOT happen with the Sony 65” TV that we previously had connected to this theater receiver. We love the picture quality, and if we can get this sound issue resolved, we would once again recommend this product.

While we're glad you like the outstanding picture quality, we're sorry to hear your TV suddenly exhibits unexpected issues or no sound from the audio system. Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience. We recommend updating the software of the TV. A firmware update improves the functionality and features of your unit. It can provide fixes to any performance issues that may occur. If you haven't yet, you can isolate the audio drops out issue by following the steps below:
1. Disconnect the cable from the home theater system and TV and then reconnect the cable.
2. If the behavior continues, try another HDMI input on your TV.
