There is no reason with todays technology that this information shouldn't be readily accessible. I did find through the TV interface that the TV had 600 hours of use and 36 restarts. Staff still wouldn't provide background information.

Some regular lower broadcast channels like fox 26 are not as clear but that is not on the TV. Could have probably went a cheaper way to watch regular TV. Size and sound are great.

Ultimately I would recommend (and will be getting one myself) a professional calibration. This ensures you get the most out of your investment and the best possible picture quality.

Just make sure that you don't have any light behind you as it is very visible on the screen. We are pretty lucky and were able to rearrange things to eliminate the problem.

Only 3 stars because Sony has not fixed the audio interface issue with Hulu live which periodically drops audio. Hooked up with Sony soundbar which works well except for the audio cut out. On the fence about returning the tv and soundbar.

Only reason I took a star off is because I purchased it to be delivered, but bestbuy.com changed it to store pickup the day before it was supposed to be delivered, which was very inconvenient.
