Horizontal Lines - Very Disappointed

I did a couple weeks of research to select the best TV for our new home. Several experts recommended this tv for its optimum picture and sound, ran to closest Best Buy to purchase. I LOVED this TV for the first 12 months. Month 13 hit and I noticed several lines throughout the TV. Tried Sony's troubleshooting options several times. Obvious internal lighting/panel/hardware issue. Called Sony Customer Service and immediately was told about the 1 year warranty, and I was out of luck. I recommended this same TV to a friend and he purchased. I feel horrible about putting him in the same position. I have owned several Sony products, including TV's, and would love to continue giving them my hard earned money (a lot in this case). Hoping they stand by their products that their consumers are supposed to enjoy for yearS!!!

The set up in my house was not properly done and i have issues to control channels when switching from HDMI to other shows. I have stated the issue to Best-buy.
