I’m not a techie, I’m an interested in tech 62 year old man. I purchase a tv for best picture clarity and realistic reproduction. This 65” Sony AH8 satisfies all of my expectations and even exceeds them. Professional reviewers complain about the remote, to me it’s so what. I won’t buy a new tv every 2 years, you adapt to what is provided and you acclimate to it. So far it’s not a problem. I wanted oled because it’s like my phone and I’m happy with that. I haven’t found reflections to be any more of a problem than any other tv. I believe if you want a premium tv, you won’t be disappointed. Also the sound from the tv is impressive. I use my Bose system when I expect music in the programming, otherwise I use the tv’s speakers. Buy it! You’ll be happy.

Very nice TV. Replaced 10 year old Samsung smart tv. This TV operates very smooth when switching between streaming services. Picture was very nice but when i switched to high speed hdmi, wow big difference. The sound on this actually pretty good. I have a complete surround sound theater set up i haven't hooked up yet and have pretty satisfied with the tv speakers. Really feel that Sony should include a backlit remote with their Tv's, since one is spending so much for the tv. Only negative was the price. I did get it when it was 500 off which was better.

Very vivid color with high contrast. Night scenes are actually viewable on this tv. After 2 years the picture looks as good as new.

I have to start off by saying, I'm a huge advocate of Sony products and have been for decades. This is the 8th Sony TV I have purchased, and have loved all of them, except for this one. Sadly, while OLED looks great, within the first month of ownership the TV slowly started showing dead pixels around the perimeter of the screen. Since this started, it continues to get worse, and now the tv occasionally also blips off completely. I've checked inputs, and no matter what HDMI cable, or source, the screen will intermittently just turn off completely. Unfortunately, getting help has been a nightmare too. So at this point, I've succumbed, to having spent thousands on what is effectively a useless TV.

Awesome. The OLED is very clear and has nice darks and lights. great contrast. Really good sound, very surprised how good it is, from the speakers in the TV. Got a great Black Friday price too.

Great picture and sound! Makes for a wonderful movie night with friends and family. The picture quality is amazing in the day time as well.

Great TV, Color is Perfect and easy to use, only Gave 4 stars on Price Due to OLED being higher than other TV's even on sale ! Sony has always been great TV's coming from Japan and not CHINA !

Love this tv. It is so clear I have had it for about three years and it still looks and plays as good as day 1. Crystal clear picture and it is almost as if you are there.

Best picture like the representative said. Superior dark and light contrast and color better than LED. This is my first OLED tv and I will not be going back to an LED tv again.

This is my first OLED TV I’ve owned and it’s honestly the best TV I’ve ever owned. I was worried about future burn-in but my viewing habits are mostly just movies and the occasional sports. I also got the Geek Squad protection plan for it that covers burn in, so I can watch all the 4K movies in my collection worry free now! The contrast you get on colors with the perfect black levels is incredible. Every guest I’ve had come over to watch a movie audibly says “WHOA!” when I pop in one of the 4K UHD Blu-Rays. I can’t get over it every time I watch one, myself. If you’re thinking about getting an OLED, you really should!!

I can't say enough about this 65" Sony Bravia A8H Series TV! This is the 1st Sony flat screen TV that I purchased. Previously, I had a Sony big screen TV and I would still have that TV, if it didn't take up some much space....the picture quality and sound was great. I have always liked Sony TVs, and my new Bravia does not disappoint! The color is so rich and pristine, it is unreal! Although you will pay for this quality, it is definitely worth it!

Best TV we've ever owned. OLED screen is excellent. We would match it to LG. Sony displays action shows flawlessly. The A8H has a speaker in the center of the screen which works out very well. There is good stereo separation which is surprising. I don't feel it would be much improvement to use our amplifier and built-in 5.1 surround sound. It is big. One person cannot install it on the wall. We had Best Buy install it and they did a great job.

This TV is great. The picture is clear and the color is realistic. So vivid. The size works well in our family room. Easy to set up. It is everything we hoped it would be.

Incredible picture. Deep, exceptional blacks making the crisp contract of the bright, beautiful colors even more so. Very realist skin tones and no noticeable artifacts in high motion. 4K content is remarkable. Sony is a bit more expensive but 100% worth it... else you will have buyer's remorse if you settle for anything less. 2Yrs in and I'd buy it again.

I have owned this TV for 3 weeks now and completely love it. The picture this screen creates is absolutely amazing, incredible amounts of details can be seen. The Android TV OS operates so much better on this TV than my old Sony 810C, I am sure the processor has a lot to do with it. If you are not used to Android TV it can take a little bit of getting used to with the way it is organized. The best part of it is that you can Cast directly to the TV without an additional Chromecast. The apps all load quickly and stream smoothly. I love Disney+ and the 4K movies, the quality of those movies is off the charts and stream very well. Some reviews out there say the screen can be hard to see in bright rooms, well I don't have that issue. I am able to see the picture clearly, even in bright daylight. The colors are vivid, but realistic. The viewing angle on the TV is off the charts as well, again a huge difference from my old Sony 810C. I have also played games on the TV with my PS4 Pro. The 4K games I have are outstanding and the TV performs very well. I don't encounter any blurring or other issues that would impact game play. I can't comment on the sound directly from the TV since I run all of my audio through a surround sound system. Overall this TV should be on your shortlist if you are considering OLEDs. I would recommend it to anyone. I got mine during a $1000 off sale, and at that price it has turned out to be one of the best deals I have ever gotten. If you see it at that price, don't think twice, just buy it.

We went to Best Buy to purchase a new 65" TV. We were looking at lower price TVs and my wife asked the salesperson, "what is the best TV?" He said, buy an OLED. So we looked at Sony Bravia OLED and loved the picture. We were able to buy the Sony at a very good price and the Best Buy Geek Squad delivered and installed it for us. I enjoyed our previous Sony TVs and this is no exception. The picture is crystal clear, very distinct and vivid; almost 3-dimensional. The colors look great. Football looks great on this TV. We did not buy a sound bar as in our opinion the included speakers are fine for everyday use.

I recently purchased a 65" A8G because the price was unbeatable. Unfortunately, Sonos announced the ARC and I wanted eARC for uncompressed Dolby Atmos. Just picked this up a week ago and I'm in love. It's way faster loading apps and the Dolby Vision Bright (or Day) is a game changer. Gone is the dim reputation of OLED'S. It's bright, vibrant, and the picture quality is second to none. You buy an OLED for the contrast. You buy a Sony OLED for the processing. You won't be disappointed.

This is my 1st OLED TV & I'M never going back to anything else! I purchased this almost 2 months ago and have enjoyed watching everything from sports to movies to you tube vids, YouTube is mostly 4K and looks amazing on this TV! PROs The picture is so crisp and vivid, I love the anti-glare built in to help prevent glare from the sun or lights. The Andriod interface is the primary reason I switched from Samsung to Sony. Nice variety of HDMI/USB ports spread out on back of TV. Super quick & responsive weather using the built in apps or my Nvidia shield which is amazing on this TV (even tho only 60fps on HDMI) CONs: (all minor issues for me) - 1 star Audio - Much better audio than cheaper TVs but I still believe a sound bar is a must. Remote - no backlight? Really Sony, my 930 Bravia has a backlight and it was half the $$ Stand - not cool that they changed the adjustable stand from last year in an attempt to push people into the AGs. Also, the feet make it hard to find a turntable that fits it.

My two weeks with the A8h! I purchased an open-box excellent with the burn in warranty for $1988 total from Best Buy. I have a Xbox One X, Panasonic UB820, Shield Pro 2019 and Apple TV 4K hooked to a 9.2 Pioneer Elite receiver with eARC feature that is running into the hdmi 3(eARC) input on A8H. Make sure you calibrate using Rtngs recommendations or even better the Calman feature on OLED. Gaming on game profile has no lag, even while HDR gaming. I mostly play COD, NBA 2k and FIFA 2020. No issues. The 2.1 is a moot point for me. This tv is so great looking that I canceled my preorder of Xbox Series X and with this past week headlines about the 2.1 hdmi chip issues on the latest 2.1 capable receivers, I will definitely wait awhile for 4k @120hz. Another thing Sports like in NFL Sunday ticket app look great also. Now to the best part of this tv. Once calibrated in custom profile the picture is 2nd to none. Especially when playing a 4k disc on the panny. Literally had me speechless. The tone mapping of panasonic with the X1 chip in the A8H are a perfect match. Also the Apple TV playing my Plex 4k tv shows and movies is superb. Here's my journey to finding the best picture. I have a 55' Samsung KS8500 4k(Superb but no DV). I had the 2018 Vizio 75inch 4k that had terrible ghosting/blooming, uniformity and firmware issues returned it. I then got the Samsung 75q6fn 4k for $600 at Walmart on another great slickdeal post but again no DV and some blooming and pic was above average but not excellent so I sold it for a profit. I decided to go bigger so I got the Epson Home Cinema 3200 4K projector with a 120 inch motorized Elite screen. It definitely was immersive and 4k@60fps but had ghosting, had to run a long/expensive fiber optic hdmi cable and not really a good picture, missed DV and I was moving into a smaller man cave location.So I sold the Epson 4k projector and screen. Then I really lost my mind and jumped on the August Costco Sony Xbr85x850g 4k for $1,399. Again big, had DV (yay) and decent picture , but the ghosting/blooming and no local dimming left alot to be desired, regardless of the money saved. So I returned it early October in preparation to buy the Sony 75X900H with future 2.1 capabilities. Prime day October 13th at 3am I see Sony A8h OLED for $1,799 pop up on my Slickdeal alert. I had read the reviews on RTNGS and seen Caleb from Digital Trends and Vincent on HDTV many times say this is a movie watchers TV. So I jumped on it, especially when I saw an open-box excellent for $215 less than the $1,799 sale price near me. This is a truly wonderful OLED Tv. I watched Netflix's Extraction and Barbarians in Dolby Vision using the tv's dedicated Netflix mode and it was amazing. I wrote all this, to write if you value true cinema watching with a couple of hours of gaming daily this is the tv for you.

This TV is the modern day plasma TV with all the Smart TV and energy efficiency too. The color is amazing. Add to that the blacks and contrast and I am a very pleased customer. Could not be happier. My IT installer gave some great advice. Have Best Buy delivery personnel open the box on delivery. Many TV's are cracked on delivery. You only have 2 weeks to return it to the store. It took me longer than that to schedule installation. I purchased the extended warranty so that was not a concern for me but if you don't go the extra warranty route... OPEN THE BOX!
