    You may think one star is harsh, but it isn’t. What was Sony thinking?! Sony makes the PS5 and someone decided to make a top of the line, flagship television with HDMI 2.0 instead of 2.1 knowing full well the ps5 was coming out and it wouldn’t be able to take advantage of its most important features. This leaves gamers who are huge Sony fans with the dilemma of waiting for the new A8 model coming out on 4/5/21 or just buying an LG that may not quite be on or with a high end Sony, but is close enough and can actual take advantage of the output power of modern console games. So yes, I have to give this tv 1 star because at the end of the day it was a poorly thought out release that’s very expensive and despite a great picture isn’t capable of taking advantage of the HD media most people are trying to get into it via hdmi cables!

    The picture on this TV is amazing. The responsiveness of the TV is amazing. The problem is the sound. When the sound works, it too is amazing. I love the front firing speakers. The sound stops working randomly and consistently since the day I bought it. I had Geek Squad come out and they know of this problem. There is apparently a compatibility issue between the Android operating system and Hulu. The real problem lies in the fact that everyone involved with this TV and it's features is too busy pointing the finger at each other. I would love to keep this TV, but no matter who I ask the only option I have been given is to return the TV back to Best Buy. I guess I just need to stop complaining and pack up my TV and go get a working one. It can't be a TV with the Android operating system and it probably won't be a Sony.

    Picture quality on the TV is excellent, but the Sony interface/user experience is terrible. And my apps frequently freeze and require me to restart the TV in order to function properly. For the cost, this TV should work much more smoothly.

    Great picture, Constant Sound Issues With Sound

    I have always been a Sony fan, but not any more I purchased this TV and have to say the picture is solid. However, I have had nothing but issues with the sound through the paired Sony Ht-z9f Sound Bar I purchased. When watching any streaming content from Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Plus, HULU, erc the sound will randomly drop out. I contacted Sony and they basically told me to turn off all of the functionality of the TV to eliminate the issue. My question why did I pay the Sony premium for Dolby Atmos to have to disable the very features I paid for? Best Buy has been helpful, bit not Sony. I would strongly consider other options before buying this TV again.
