It is by far the best set I have owned. The only downside, initial internet connection tends to take several minutes everytime the tv is first turned on. I would recommended it.

terrific color and resolution

Sony has done it again! The sound is also very good, however a sound bar would be helpful in a larger room.

Blacks are true and deep, colors a much more vibrant and we can't get over how well the anti glare screen works! So far we are very happy with our purchase

The picture is great my issues is when you connect the TV to your home system IF you just have it as a standalone TV, it is acceptable and picture is fine We were first told by SONY we needed a unique plug that required a Sony receiver if we wanted the TV to be the center channel. What's up with that? After my home theater guys worked with Sony for close to 6 hours. The fix SONY came up with they had was if i wanted the tv as a center channel took 60-90 seconds for the TV to come on, this is a $ 3000 TV and to be more than a few seconds to turn on is in my option as well as SONY's own rep " poor and not acceptable". From my perspective it was worse than 60-90 seconds because people using the TV would most likely be hitting buttons after a few second and no lights or TV on indication they would hit buttons screwing up the actions. VERY DISAPOINTED in Sony and this new TV- had I know this I would have gone with one of their competitors. I would also point out that SONY help staff know of the problem and " Do not like it at all" and that there is no fix in the system, my other TV is the same model just 4 years ago and using the TV as a center speaker was a breeze to hook up.

We understand your disappointment—a 60–90 second delay for a premium TV is absolutely not the experience we intend to deliver. This specific issue involving the TV being used as a center channel (Acoustic Center Sync) and resulting power-up delay is concerning. For the most accurate and current resolution steps, please ensure your TV software is up-to-date and temporarily check the Quick Start setting (found in the Power & Energy settings) to see if toggling it on or off helps reduce the boot time. If the issue persists, please contact our technical support again, as they are best equipped to address this issue with this specific configuration.
