Bravio 65 inch tv

Was confusing to set reset up streaming passwords etc. it’s been at least 10 yrs since we bought a new tv so a lot has changed

Double trouble

We decided just a fluke and asked to exchange the TV. The 2nd one was delivered and same issue but not as bad. This also brought on another problem.. the TV would randomly turn off or not respond at all. We would need to unplug and do a total reset to get TV to work again after 4 times of complete resets hours on the phone with customer service we decided to return both TV and soundbar. We purchase and LG and have zero problems.

Disappointing TV. Didn't feel like an OLED.

I wouldn't call an OLED at all. It was really dim and the colors weren't vibrant at all. It was a dull TV. I didn't get that wow factor that I got when I turn on my Samsung S84D for the first time. The Sony Bravia 7 Mini LED is a way better TV than the Bravia 8. If you must go with Sony, definitely get the Bravia 7 and save the money for a soundbar. Trust me.

We're sorry to hear it didn’t meet your expectations, especially with the brightness and color vibrancy not giving you that “wow” factor you were hoping for.The quality of the source is a big factor in getting an excellent picture quality. As a workaround, you might try adjusting the picture settings, such as increasing the brightness or switching to a different picture mode for a more balanced look. Picture settings also allow a wide array of changes to color, contrast, clarity, motion settings, and brightness that can improve the viewed content on your Google TV. The picture quality may improve if you change it in [Picture] under [Settings].

Beware of buying MEMBERSHIP to Total Tech

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the newest Sony Bravia in July and bought into the Best Buy membership at the same time so we could have all products covered and get “deals” on tech services! HAHA! Now in November the TV will not come on, but when I contacted Best Buy I’m told I must deal with Sony! (They will also get a review)! 3 days of going back and forth between Sony and Best Buy I am told the TV will be replaced. But will Sony authorize Best Buy to just exchange the TV so we can arrange installation and return all on the same day immediately? NOPE! We have wait on new TV to be shipped and we have to arrange to have old TV unmounted from the wall prior to the new TV arriving. As it is a 65” TV we are not able to unmount. So Best Buy will charge 149.99 plus tax to take it off the wall, then the same charge to come back after the TV arrives! Sony will only refund one of those charges! Remember, we pay for a Best Buy membership!! For what??? One week after my new TV stops working and we are still without it. And there seems to be nothing we can do to have this made right! So we wait. And we pay more for installation. This has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Beware of what salesmen try to hook you into! They are getting a bump for selling those memberships that afford a few small discounts if you keep shopping there, but their warranty promises are crap!

Sad about the tv

I gave 2 stars just because Sony is a good company. But this tv is very dark. No matter what setting it’s dark. I a m truly sad about this purchase. Sony products last forever so now I’m stuck with a terrible tv for years. The 14 day policy is not long enough. I had help putting it up and couldn’t get help getting it down in the 14 day window. So now I’m stuck with a not so great tv that cost 2229.00 I payed on sale 1899.00. That is a lot of money for a tv that we don’t like at all.

A BRAVIA 8 OLED TV should not be very dark. It sounds like a setting might be causing the screen to appear dim. We recommend going into the TV's settings and checking the Picture Mode—if it's set to 'Cinema' or 'Custom,' please try switching it to 'Standard' or 'Vivid.' Also, check the Ambient Light Sensor setting to ensure it's not dimming the screen unnecessarily.
