The Xfinity Stream app's availability is determined by Comcast/Xfinity's specific agreements and technical requirements, which currently necessitate their own hardware. We always strive for broad app compatibility and will continue to work with service providers where possible. Does not receive local channels

The sales girl said Definitely will receive them on this tv. We bought a 4k Samsung 65 inch one 3 years ago and it is still great but didn't want to be forced to get Spectrum. Well they set up tv and said i needed a ota antenna to get local channels. Went Back to Get the new antenna and it Still doesn't get local channels. Called Sony and they said it should get them. Well its a good tv but wouldn't have bought it for 2k if i knew it would not get local channels. Had to get Spectrum and not very Happy with that!

Thank you for reaching out to us and we're sorry to hear this issue. The type of reception that you'll receive will depend on the antenna type that you're using and how far a particular station is. ATSC technology is backwards compatible for BRAVIA 8 series TVs, so you will still be able to enjoy ATSC 1.0 technology with this ATSC 3.0 supported TV.
If you believe that certain local channels are not appearing, after doing the scan, antenna rotation or re-positioning may be needed to increase received signal strength. You can also visit the AntennaWeb website online to check which stations are available in your area and the recommended type of antenna to use. For more details about this, refer to the links below.

This one has a good picture but store displays in 4k which we don’t get at home-so disappointed. Expected dark scenes to be brighter than on our old TV-and we’re on max brightness. We had some problems getting this one to work with our Bose sound system & lips weren’t synched at times. Re-starting the TV several times helped.

Best worst tv ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best tv in quality looks and interface worst smart TV at the same time it keeps having this issue where I have to keep resetting it may be five or six times for it to be able to connect to the Internet and then when I turn it off, I have to do the whole cycle again. The TV is basically unusable from that point on unless you hook up in Xbox or another Apple TV to it it’s a really good TV but if you’re using the built-in interface, it is terrible

We're truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you've been experiencing with your Sony - BRAVIA 8. We completely understand how frustrating it must feel to enjoy the excellent picture quality but struggle with the built-in Wi-Fi connection.
To help improve your TV's connectivity, please try these steps:
1- Power cycle your router by unplugging it from the power for about two minutes and then plug it back in.
2- Make sure your TV is within 25 feet of your router for the best signal strength.
3- Turn on Simple IP Control on your TV by going to Settings > Network and Internet > Home Network > IP Control > Simple IP Control, then switch it on.
4- If possible, try using a wired Ethernet connection, as these are often more stable than Wi-Fi signals.

The verbal command on the remote control does not function correctly and always displays a station I did not ask to be displayed. The TV also displays stations from an earlier time of day when a TV station is selected. There are so many issues with this TV if I had to make a purchase again I would NOT buy this TV! I am NOT happy with this item - Sony 65" Oled TV. I will be purchasing a different TV VERY soon!!!!!!

We understand how frustrating it can be selecting the station you want and being redirected to another one, this is something that should not be going on. Here are some useful steps we would like to recommend to solve these problems:
1- Restart your TV by holding down the power button on the Sony remote for 5 seconds and select "Restart"
2- Check if your remote control is updated, you can go to Settings > Remotes and accessories > Remote control > Software update
3- Make sure that your TV is also up to date by selecting Settings > system > about > system software update > Software update.
Also is worth noting that the functionality of the Sony remote control to change channels is dependable on different factors like the external device (cable box/antenna) or streaming app that you are using.
