||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really enjoyed the TV. I bought this on December 2nd 2024 on cyber Monday and I really enjoyed the picture quality but tonight I went to watch TV and have 3 blinking red lights (the Internet has me thinking it's something to do with the light source or power.) I have unplugged and replugged it in tried different outlets (everything else currently still works that is plugged into the outlet).

Posted .Hi Butters,
Thank you for reaching us with your concern. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused by the random turning off of your Sony BRAVIA 8 TV. This is not the experience we want you to have, and we're here to help make this better for you.
We would like to clarify if this issue occurs only from an external source (e.g. Cable box, Signal Channels, Blu-ray Player, PlayStation) or any other external input? or does the issue also happen on the internal apps of the TV? Also, are you noticing any LED lights blinking in a specific pattern at the bottom of your TV? This information could help us with the diagnosis.
In the meantime, please try the steps in this link to help troubleshoot and steps to disable different features that may cause your Android TV™ or Google TV™ to turn on or off automatically: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00114471?utm_source

Buyer beware. A great picture is not everything!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 3 Sony TVs. The salesperson didn’t tell us until after the fact that any one remote will change all 3 TVs. It makes having 3 TVs worthless. Best Buy said ‘oh yes we have that problem in the store also’ and didn’t know how to fix. I wasted a lot of money. I would not buy Sony TVs or fbuy anything rom Best Buy again.

Posted .Hi BethG,
Thank you for reaching us with your concern.
We'd like to apologize for the inconvenience your Sony BRAVIA 8 TVs had caused you and we understand how frustrating it can be to have multiple Sony TVs being controlled by a single remote. This issue occurs because the remote control signals are not unique to each TV, causing interference when multiple TVs are in close proximity.
One potential solution is to disable the Bluetooth on one of the TVs. This can help prevent the remote from controlling multiple TVs simultaneously. Here’s how you can do it:
Access the Settings Menu: Use the remote to navigate to the TV's settings menu.
Select Remotes & Accessories: Find and select the "Remotes & Accessories" option.
Disable Bluetooth: Turn off the Bluetooth setting.
Please note that disabling Bluetooth will prevent the use of certain features, such as voice commands via the mic button on the remote.
Hope this information helps!

TV with Smarts You Actually Want
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When my LG CX failed, I was in the market for something to replace it that still gave me great 4k picture quality and good tech - specifically HDMI 2.1 features - to support gaming. Ended up landing on this Bravia Google TV because the integrated Google interface saves me an HDMI spot and the smart interface performs great with no sluggishness and very familiar if you are coming from a Google Streamer. Only thing keeping this from a 5* is the glass does act like a very good mirror. It still does well in bright rooms, but if you have a light source at the right angle you will see that mirrored on screen. Still, an amazing deal for a TV of this quality

worth it on sale
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony BRAVIA 8 OLED TV is a stunning piece of technology that delivers exceptional picture quality and smart features. Its OLED display provides deep blacks, vibrant colors, and incredible contrast. The Google TV interface is intuitive and offers a wide range of streaming apps and content. Pros: OLED Display: The OLED technology offers superior picture quality with deep blacks, vibrant colors, and excellent contrast. 4K Resolution: The 4K resolution provides sharp and detailed images, making movies and games look incredibly realistic. Smart Features: The Google TV interface is easy to navigate and offers a wide range of streaming apps and content. Gaming Performance: The TV's low input lag and smooth motion handling make it an excellent choice for gaming. Sound Quality: The built-in speakers provide decent sound quality, though a soundbar or external speakers would enhance the audio experience. Cons: Price: OLED TVs are generally more expensive than LED TVs, so the Sony BRAVIA 8 may be out of reach for some budgets. Burn-in Risk: While OLED technology has improved significantly in recent years, there is still a risk of burn-in if the same static image is displayed for extended periods. Conclusion: The Sony BRAVIA 8 OLED TV is a top-tier television that offers exceptional picture quality, smart features, and excellent gaming performance. If you're looking for a premium TV with the best possible image quality, this is a great option. However, while the higher price point may deter some buyers, if you can catch this tv on sale it is well worth it!

Best OLED TV IMHO
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always wanted an OLED TV every time I looked at one. I thought I needed to get one, but they were always overpriced. At least that's what I thought. When my old tv broke, I was looking at a lot of options, including mini LED and a QLED tv's and while those looked great and certainly were less expensive, the image was nothing compared to OLED. Once I decided to get an OLED, I was left with which one? It all came down to Samsung, Sony, and LG. While all 3 looked amazing, the Samsung was brighter but didn't have Dolby Vision. And while HDR 10+ is great, most movies I own are in Dolby Vision. The LG was similarly priced and has great reviews. The OS is something I had a bit of trouble with. I've used LG before and haven't liked the experience. Sony, in my opinion, offers the best of all 3. It has Google TV. The interface is fast and smooth. It offers great sound for a TV, and the image quality is amazing. I don't regret spending extra money, and I'm sure if you buy this TV, you will not regret it either. Hope this helps.

Sony BRAVIA 8
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony BRAVIA 8 is excellent for mixed usage. It looks stellar in a dark room, thanks to its perfect black levels, vibrant colors, and great HDR brightness. The TV has modern gaming features, and combined with its excellent image quality, it's a solid choice for gamers. It has solid reflection handling, but it's only bright enough to overcome glare in a moderately lit room, and blacks look gray in a room with ambient lighting; you don't enjoy the same image quality when you flip your lights on. Fortunately, the TV has an incredibly wide viewing angle, making it an outstanding choice for a wide seating arrangement.

Love this TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV, love the blacks it has bc of the OLED tech. It also has incredibly good color and picture quality. The brightness is also very good. The LG C5 has a bit better brightness but the Sony picture quality seems to be better. I also like the Android TV OS. Its very nice and easy to use. I paid $1400 after tax for an excellent condition open-box and i have no regrets!

Where is remote control ever.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV. It’s really beautiful picture. The worst thing about this product is the remote control. The remote control is super small super tiny extremely fragile and completely falls apart. Every time you drop it. Worst remote control I’ve ever had in 25 years. Last Sony TV I still have the remote and I use it now because the other remote is just a fragile piece of crap.

The Purchasing Experience was horrible. The Sales Representative was not to pleased to sell the TV nether was he pleased that I didn’t purchase Any Extended Warranty. The Bravia 8 has a descent Picture Quality. Brightness is marginal and The Blacks are good. This TV Excels In A Dark when Watching Movies. Pair The TV with A Surround System And The TV Sound Quality Will blow you Away! Owning Two Other W Oleds I’m having buyers remorse. I’m thinking of returning this TV And purchasing A QD-OLED with a little more Color Brightness. Overall this TV is descent For the majority of all people but TV enthusiasts will demand more.
