Picture quality, sound, features and ease of use/operation are off the charts. The Geek Squad installation team was outstanding. The TV was installed and explained. Questions were answered. Wireless headphones and DVD player were set up to work with new TV using the TV remote. Best move I've ever made.

Awesome TV with crosshairs

When I compare this to the other top 2 here are my favorite feature. I think the rest of the stuff visually is pretty comparable between LG and Samsung. This lets you pick crosshairs and only comes on when you start playing PS5, cxrosshairs are dot, cross and something else. You can also pick your color. I think I'm a better player cause of this feature otherwise im old and kind of suck at gaming but i enjoy it. The other feaure is using settings to quickly go into eco mode, I like this to basically dial down the tv for late night viewing. AKA I sleep with the tv on so i want it dimmer and also the sound to stay at the same level so it doesnt wake me up when youtube decides to put on 10 second ads and crank up the volume. This is a 65" I bought. I went from a Panasonic Plasma 65 in the spare room. I enjoy the contrast much more on this. You shouldnt have buyers remorse. Also overall for what it is the sound is clear and enjoyable for casual gaming or watching tv. Again CASUAL, means it wont make your ears bleed. Nice job Sony.

Absolutely beautiful picture quality. The colors are deep and vibrant. Surprisingly good sound and it's plenty bright. I use an AppleTV with this, but the native Google TV os is sleek and easy to use. Setup was a breeze.

Absolute Gem of a TV

But the Sony Bravia 8 OLED 4K exceeded my expectations immediately. I couldn't believe how clear and crisp the images were. And the colors are perfect. I love the fact that the darker images aren't unaccessible to the eye by being too dark.

Great TV just one issue

The picture if fantastic, it integrates easily with my surround sound system. Controls are easy to use. I use an OTA antenna and this unit has an excellent tuner and also gets the next gen channels very well. My one complaint is that when I watch OTA tv, this tv does not have the capacity to pause the program or to back up and review what just happened (instant replay). Many cheaper models do have that capacity and I was surprised that this tv didn't. But that did not keep me from buying the exact tv again so make what you want of that!

The picture quality is absolutely stunning—deep, true blacks, vibrant colors, and incredible clarity. Movies, sports, and even regular TV look more lifelike than ever. The motion handling is super smooth, so fast-paced action scenes look flawless. The sound quality really surprised me too. The Acoustic Surface Audio+ makes it feel like the sound is coming directly from the screen, which adds a lot of immersion without needing a soundbar right away. The Google TV interface is easy to use, responsive, and makes finding content across all my streaming apps very simple. I also like how quickly it connects with my smart home devices and voice commands. Design-wise, it’s sleek and minimal with very thin bezels, so it looks gorgeous mounted on the wall. Delivery was excellent and Sony packaging is superb. Wall mounting was easy, the TV only weighs 49 lbs. Setup was also easy, just follow the prompts on the screen. Best TV experience I've had and the TV has the best picture I've ever watched.

First one was bad.

First one kept shutting off, had to unplug and plug back in to get it to back turn on. Has nice picture quality. The Acoustic Surface Audio system is way better then speakers on the bottom of the TV. Sony must not have any pride in their product anymore, last TV had Sony light up in the glass frame. This one has a itty bitty sony on lower left corner, which is very difficult to see.

Not satisfied with the remote control that came with the unit. I would prefer to have one with a numeric key pad to be able to change to a numbered channel. Also, since it is a Google capable TV, I would like to have a Google icon high on the menu to go directly to the site. Lastly, I would have liked the closed caption button directly as a button on the remote. Thanks

We're so glad that you like the superb picture quality of this TV. We also understand you would like to use a remote with a numeric pad to manually select and navigate channels. Unfortunately, there is no numpad and Subtitle/CC button on the supplied remote control on this TV as it has a newly design with smaller, sleeker, and less buttons. To display closed captions/subtitles on the TV screen, press the MENU button to access the Control Menu, then select the CC/Subtitle option. It will ALSO display a menu on the TV to use button functions that are not on the remote control on the screen so you can easily enter a channel.

An associate, Braeden, helped us choose the Bravia 8 TV after asking where the TV will be located, near windows, in a light or dark room etc. Our choice became clearer as we looked at other sets. Upon installation, all the research and guidance helped us purchase the correct TV for our room. Superior color, super thin unit, very easy setup, and the remote is user friendly. This basically replaces my cable box allowing me to save a little money, is fast, amazing picture, plenty of settings to test out. Remote is not backlit, small in my hand and I am purchasing a new option immediately.

Picture quality exceeded expectations. The only technical issue we are working is the compatibility between our Sony Model and Sonos sound bar. The sound cuts in and out with the sound bar.

We understand how frustrating intermittent audio can be, especially when pairing with a high-end soundbar like Sonos. Audio cutting out between a TV and soundbar via the HDMI eARC/ARC port can often be resolved by changing the Digital Audio Out setting on the TV from Auto to Auto 1, and ensuring the TV's software is fully updated, as this helps stabilize the data handshake between the two brands. If this doesn't resolve the issue, please try disabling the eARC Mode in the TV's audio settings, as the standard ARC protocol can sometimes be more stable for certain soundbar models, or check your HDMI cable connection to ensure it is fully seated and is a high-speed certified cable.
