I've wanted one since 2008

At the time I was in college and they were exorbitantly expensive. I've been monitoring the TV's in recent years but never had the excess cash or need to buy one. I finally brought myself to get one this weekend and my 13 years of expectations were not disappointed. The black levels are perfect the picture is so true to color. If your on the fence I would say get it and never look back! On a side note if your trying to run Dolby vision or HDR through a stereo receiver you may need to manually switch your HDMI input to Enhanced picture mode for your source to push it through.

And I own a LG CX OLED 77". Don't get me wrong the LG is a great TV, but it isn't their best version.... This Sony is really good. I personally also think that for sound coming from the TV itself, it is not bad. Now that doesn't mean to say that a sound bar wouldn't be better..... Also I think there is only one downfall with this TV and it most likely isn't Sony's doing. Google TV doesn't support it's own companies internet browser. The best way to web browse is to cast it from a phone? Or use another device.

Posted .Hi BestBuyFan, Thanks for your feedback. We're glad that you like the audio quality without using a soundbar. The Android TV™ does not have a pre-installed web browser app. However, you can download and install third-party apps that function as a web browser through the Google Play™ store.
Follow these steps to locate a browser app:
Turn on the TV.
On your remote control, press the HOME button.
Select Apps.
Select the Google Play store app.
In the search window, use web browser or browser to locate an app that will meet your needs.

Setup is fairly easy — a simple picture setting other than the default from the factory (which suffers a bit from “soap opera effect”) is Custom — you don’t have to spend a lot of time tweaking every single setting (and there are a LOT) or be an expert to quickly get a good, versatile picture for just about every application. We don’t use the TV speakers, but were SHOCKED when doing the initial setup at how good it sounded for built-in speakers. If we didn’t have it all running through a decent stereo, we’d be perfectly happy with the sound quality.

Massive upgrade from 2010 Plasma!

I was mainly worried about brightness reading comparisons to higher end LED TVs, but this gets plenty bright and looks absolutely phenomenal. Coupled with the price drop, really too good to pass up! Now just hoping this holds up for 11 years like the plasma did.

We purchased from BestBuy with the great help of their very knowledgeable sales associate. The purchase decision was made easy and very understandable with the aid of such great help. BestBuys team in the Blakeney store location in Charlotte NC. are exceptional. The Sony TV we bought has excellent picture and sound quality. It is easy to use and much better than any Samsung TV I ever experienced and really better than the Samsung I own which uses a wand type remote that is not intuitive and very frustrating to use. My Samsung TV causes anxiety just to turn it on!N
