I researched and researched and researched my next TV for well over a year. I was between the Samsung QLED (then QNED) 90 series, the LG C1, and the Sony A80J. All my research and my personal pristine history with Sony products seemed to indicate that the Sony was the clear winner in virtually every category, except gaming (back to that in bit). My main hold up was the price, but I assumed based on Sony's world-reknowned quality assurance the price difference would be worth it in the long run. I have now owned this TV for over a month and have used it extensively for movies, TV shows, AND gaming. This TV is INCREDIBLE. Being an old school plasma fan, I was very concerned with being able to still have that warm cinema screen.... this TV delivers with flying colors on that front. Just use the preset "Cinema" setting for TV settings and voila! All plasma fans are instantly relieved. However, this TV's "Standard" setting is jaw dropping. The colors are punchy but not over the top, and it is a VERY BRIGHT picture and goes toe to toe with the pop of the Samsung sets. Crank up the setting to "Vivid" and I am fairly certain even bright TV Samsung folks will be more then happy. THis thing can really do it all. I have connected the TV to an HDTV antenna, and WOW, what a picture, what an interface!! This TV feature NTSC 3.0, making it absolutely future proof. The antenna TV has a guide!!! Finally, the piece that made me the most nervous, gaming. While I am not a hardcore gamer, I consider myself to be a moderate gamer. I have a PS4, Xbox One, and Switch connected to this tv and I can honestly say, I have absolutely no idea what the concern with gaming performance is on this TV. It has been far and above the best gaming experience I have ever experienced anywhere at anytime. The screen is gorgeous and response times (in preset "Game Mode") are incredible. The screen refresh rate is amazing and I can only imagine it will get better whenever the VRR firmware update comes to fruition. My final word is WOW. Just WOW. Lifelong Sony fan here who cannot say enough about how this TV is a testament to the Sony name. You will not be disappointed . (By the way, yes Google TV as an operating system on this TV is also incredible!)

Hadn't gotten a new DVD player in years, content to use my old BluRay. This gives a fantastic picture with easy set up. Have it connected to my Sony Bravia XRA80J OLED 4K TV and couldn't be happier. It also upconverts my old DVDs into a superior viewing experience. Make sure however you purchase a 4K HDMI cable (sold separately) to go between DVD player and TV else you wont get an optimal picture. Highly recommended.

Best picture quality than the rest. I bought this TV 2 years ago and it still looks great and has better sound than most TVs had in the past.

I absolutely love this TV. It’s easy to use and setup, I love the voice controls, and my PS5 looks amazing on it. My only complaint is that I wish the remote censor was on the corner of the tv rather than the center because my soundbar covers it lol… I just have to aim up and over it to turn it on. After it’s on, somehow the remote works normally. I don’t know how that works but it’s only to turn it on/off that I have to do that. this is a very small gripe. It was seriously worth every penny.

An awesome tv! Sometimes, I’m super glad of the difference between this TV vs something that isn’t as normal. Quality purchase.

I've had the TV for a few weeks. I am truly impressed by the picture quality especially when something is broadcast in 4K. The flesh tones are natural and the black levels are truly amazing. While in very dark scenes some of the detail is lost, the overall picture quality is amazing. I paired the TV with a soundbar. No matter what anyone says, the speakers for the TV are inadequate for anything other than the evening news.

Sony A80J Oled TV is awesome you don't need to spend for any sound bar, color and quality all my is more than 5 Stars.

This set is another example of Sony’s well-deserved reputation for quality. It is very we;; made, and its performance is superlative. Setup is simple and very fast. The only problem is with assembly instructions, which consist only of cryptic illustrations - it took some time to figure out how to set the legs for narrow position. The Best Buy salesman provided excellent service by showing us the same image side-by-side on two different sets, which helped greatly is deciding which one to buy.

This TV is super thin and the quality of the picture is impressive. Definitely can’t go wrong with Sony Bravia!

I LOVE THIS TV ! IT PROBABLY HAS MORE FEATURES THAN I NEED AND I'm STILL LEARNING HOW TO USE SOME OF THEM, ITS BRIGHT , ITS CLEAR, THE SOUND IS GREAT WITHOUT HAVING TO ADD ANYTHING i AM VERY SATISFIED IT WAS ON SALE SO THE PRICE WAS GOOD, AFTER PURCHASE IT WENT ON SALE EVEN CHEAPER WE TOOK THE AD TO BEST BUY AND THE REFUNDED THE DIFFERENCE WITH NO PROBLEM !! i HAVE ONE COMPLAINT THE REMOTE NEEDS TO BE BACKLIT !!!!!!!!!! OTHERWISE GREAT.

Love this tv! This is my first time buying an OLED TV and I realized now why they're pricy. I debated on buying a Samsung TV, but I'm glad I went Sony! The picture quality of this TV is amazing!! I have next level of admiration for 4K content through this TV! The colors are so bright and intense! After buying this TV, I don't think I'll ever go back to a regular LCD TV. Best purchase ever!!

OLED TVs are a gamechanger. Sony’s offerings are excellent in this segment of TVs. Comes with Dolby Vision and Atmos, all the HDR options you would want. And 120hz for the gamers out there

fantastic monitor . The picture is crystal sharp and balance even out of the box with little adjustment. We’ve had several Sony, LG and Samsung TVs and Sony has the best picture and consistently excellent scaling. They tend to be a little pricier than the others, but well worth the extra cost. they are built to last! Our last Sony TV still has a beautiful 1080p picture and over 10 years old going strong.

The Sony 65" Class BRAVIA XR A80J Series OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV is everything we could hope for. Best picture imaginable, easy to use, the Geek Squad setup was seamless and perfect. The price was even at a slight discount, which made it all even better. I have always been a fan of Samsung products and was ready to buy the comparable Samsung model, but I'm grateful to the BestBuy consultant who helped us land on this Sony model instead. Could not be happier.

Exceptional picture quality with audio quality better than any other TV speakers I have heard. The TV has a very good selection of apps that are easy to install. Adjustments can very easily be tailored to personal taste via the 'Settings' option. OLED is the way to go ! The XR A80J represents great value for the dollar.

I was debating between this and the LG C1 for weeks. In the end, picture quality beat out VRR. Black Friday made the prices the same, so focus on the features. If you’re a gamer and need VRR, get the C1. If you primarily want to watch movies, sports and lower resolution content and occasionally play games like I do, get the Sony. The out of the box color calibration is incredible. I haven’t had the itch to change most of the settings. The LG OLEDs handle reflections a little better, but not enough for it to bug me. The audio is great, but if you really need room filling sound, get a sound bar. If you’re in a really bright room with direct light and don’t want to get the A90J, get a Samsung or the like. I use an Apple TV, so I don’t use Google TV, but the interface for managing the TV is ok, although there is a lot to it. Overall, this tv is stunning. The picture quality is on another level. I’ve been buying OLEDs for several years and this is my first Sony OLED. Couldn’t be happier with the purchase. My LG C9 is in our bedroom now and the 65” A80J is in the living room.

I got this to replace a samsung q80t which had major issues with the sound cutting out. This solved the problem. I will never buy a samsung tv again

Amazing picture. Went from old samsung lcd to this and it still blows my mind. Great picture quality contrast and brightness.

This television has not failed and without a doubt maintained everything Sony promised. I purchased this television in April of 2022 and no issues. Moved from Hawaii to Texas. Will faithfully purchase another.
