It does seem clearer with the oled feature too. we were able to fit it into our mini suv too the store manager was very helpful in addition to the clerk being informative. OLED is just insane!! only takeaways i have is the lack of hdmi 2.1 ports. it has two while it's competitor like the LG C1 have 4, Google TV UI can be a little laggy at times and the ethernet port on the back of the TV is not a gigabitport, so you won't get anything more than 100mbps using a direct ethernet connection. also the eArc stops working sometimes and I don't know why. Mainly when using the Bravia core app to watch movies. Other than that it's an amazing TV. Looks awesome when playing my PS5 too

Also make sure that the Automatic software update feature of your TV is on so that you'll be notified once a new firmware is out. We had an older Sony Bravia, but it wasn't a "smart" TV and the Blu-Ray player we were using to access streaming channels was dying. The investment into this OLED is more than worth it! Excellent picture, unbelievably easy to navigate between services, great remote. Exceeds all of my expectations.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went into the St Cloud, MN store to buy a SAMSUNG 65” QLED TV. 30 minutes later I walked out with a Sony 65” Bravia OLED. I read all the reviews and did my research and knew exactly what I wanted….but then I met Trey. He is a rep from Sony who was in the store doing training. I brushed him off at first, and told him I knew what I was looking for. He was polite and left me alone, but then asked me one simple question, “Why Samsung?” Within 2 minutes he had me sold on Sony. He knew every feature I wanted and quickly pointed out that Samsung didn’t support what I wanted. Within 5 more minutes, he convinced me that OLED was the way to go for a few extra undos. So happy I too, the time to listen and ask questions. I was die hard Sony guy for years and years, but switched to Samsung 10 years ago, but Sony has really picked up their game on advanced features and sound quality. If you are primarily using your TV for streaming and gaming for the kids, this TV will not disappoint! in fact, it’s almost hard to watch anything on my old Samsung 8000 series curved TV in the bedroom.

Better than LG C1

My LG get bad dead pixel after 4 months of use, but as buy TotalTech and insurance, I get covered; but if not, I will be using the LG warranty (it's not good). Simple: this Sony got the best quality picture with minor setting change just out-of-the-box, and for my LG C1 I used a calibrator to get the quality promise (don't get me wrong, LG has a great quality but after calibrate it or adjusting a lot of setting watching other people settings or professional videos calibration) About Gaming: I get the upgraded for VRR for my Xbox and I see the quality change for gaming improved. Best tv for you money, not complains at all. Easy to set up and XR chip make the difference with low quality images and HD content as regular tv watching, youtube videos, etc... non 4K or HDR or Dolby Vision. Other thoughts: Dolby Vision and IMAX Exchanged is outstanding on picture and sound quality when is connect to my Sony sound bar and tv sound (the sound come from the screen)

My room is large with high ceilings and I have no problems hearing the audio. Would have given it 5 stars however this tv does not accommodate the downloading of the NFL Sunday Ticket. My previous tv was a Samsung and had no problems with this function. Despite the wonderful visual and audio capabilities of this tv had I known previously(about the App issue) I would have bought a Samsung, And yes, I am aware I can purchase a Toku and download from there but just did not wish to have another remote, etc.

Great TV, but some flaws

Only reads the remote if it's aimed at one point on the TV. 2. The power cord doesn't stay in the plug in the back of the TV. Sony provides a zip tie to secure the cord, but the zip tie is poorly designed and doesn't stay either.

Very fine OLED tv

I started the scan for reviews and discovered the Sony A80j. I never thought I would ever spend this much money but found that it was money well spent. Gaming was not important to me…I wanted deep blacks and vivid color with crisp lines. At this point, I am very pleased.

A 720 dpi looks like a 1080dpi. Great for watching movies and every day TV entertainment. Sound is good, but a sound bar is the way to go. Easy to set-up out of the box. Once you watch a program with OLED you'll never go back to LED.

Love the "ambient mode" which can cycle through photos stored on Google like a slide show. Picture quality is excellent. Bright and clear. Best Buy/Geek Squad mounted on the wall for me. They were on time, speedy, friendly, helpful and knew what they were doing.

The Google TV is so easy to use (in fact everything on this set is easy to use). So glad I bought it! It's a pleasure to watch! I should add that we have theatre surround sound in our house, so I have no idea what the TV sound is like, as ours is hooked up to a whole system.
