Apple users may not like the interaction with the TV as much, as it is a DROID, however you can solve that by adding the Apple TV on the HDMI port . Either way you Do Not Need a soundbar with this TV!! The sound system is AMAZING! The sound rolls out of the TV as it is literally coming from the screen and not a speaker!

Amazing TV

I tried LG and returned it, I tried Samsung and returned it. This is the best TV, in this price category. Also, i connect audio using amplifier and good tower standing speakers, this TV enhanced sound quality as well, we compared audio of the TV vs other inputs and we felt good difference. If you are in market, my suggestion is to buy this TV with out any doubt.

Great picture while it worked...

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will begin by saying that while the tv was working, it easily bested my LG C1 in overall picture quality which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 star. You will not be disappointed...as long as your tv works. My 65 inch a80j lasted for 20 days before a thin line appeared on the right side of the screen. This line went away and then returned a few days later. On week 4 of owning this tv the power started going out followed by a red LED flashing 4 times which indicates a problem with the backlight on the LED panel. Thankfully I am an elite member at Best Buy so I am able to return it beyond the standard 15 days or else I would be stuck with this thing. This experience has created a certain amount of skepticism toward Sony TV's since I can spend 2,300 on a tv and have it go out after only 3 weeks of light use. IMO, the Sony picture is better than the C1 in most situations, but what good is that if the build quality and reliability is not up to par?

The picture quality is so clear that there is depth to the scene, almost like 3d. Also the colors are life like. Many TV's have bright colors but not realistic colors. This TV has three 10 watt speakers, compared to two speakers on others. I was checking to see if the surround sound was on when it wasn't. It is closer to surround sound than to a normal TV's sound quality. I am very satisfied with this TV and recommend it!

It is very much worth the investment. Picture quality, off-axis viewing, sound quality (via the HTA-7000 sound bar in center channel mode) are all top rate. Invest in this one, I do not think you will regret it.

Initially, I was a bit disappointed that some of my older equipment would not operate with the new TV and will require replacement, but it might be time to upgrade those machines. The color output for the new TV is great, especially when watching nature programming. Sound quality is also very good. I am looking forward to years of enjoyment with this new purchase.

I replaced an aging LG with the Sony and debated heavily with going back to the LG brand. After comparison videos and speaking to several different sales associates in the Best Buy store I decided on the Sony. I haven't looked back. The picture and the sound quality are superb for the smaller room I have this mounted in. If I could only get 4k resolution on all my devices...lol

This is my first OLED unit and the difference in picture quality from my previous Sony to this one is amazing. The colors are vibrant and crisp and my viewing experience is greatly enhanced. The sound quality is very good on the tv, but I added an LG sound bar to my setup and Wow! It feels like I’m at the theater! A++ rating on this product.
