Very nice tv but, In my opinion even this OLED is not quite bright enough. Also when the TV is off the panel looks warped. Nice backlit remote I do love Sony’s remotes…. This is still not the year for me for OLED. Maybe next year. Please forgive the wires. ;)

Absolutely a beautiful tv. The best ive ever seen and ive owned alot. The biggest thinf that impeessed me is ths depth, 3 dimmensionality and the hightlights. Its so incredible and imp these are what would make any tv stand out in the crowd. Ive never had expeirenxes like i so with rhis tv. The absolure richness is insane! Especially if you dial it in for your preference. I dont even use this tv as bright as it can go so that says alot! There are times i see brighr lights or highlights on general and think hwo is ut able to keep it so rich and dense looking. Most oled tvs have a nice glow but seem a bit thinner by comparison. The quad sub pixel boosting is clearly noticeable and i feel bad for some people that listen to some youtubers and miss out on this as if its only just like all other oled tvs. Dont lrt those people who ar÷ justifying saving there money get into your head! This tv has proven to me i cant listen to youtube on tvs anymore. There are things it can so that would blow your mind as it did mine. Not once has a tv surpassed my expectations usually i find flaes right away and end up being slightly dissapointed. This tv is exactly what ive been expecting for the past 7 yeara of tvs. It finally hit what I felt I should be getting. Sdr, hdr and dolby vision are all incredible i still havenr found a weak point. It has the cleanest near blaxks ive ever seen ans spmehow evertrbing seems so rich in those scenes idk how its possible tbh. Gaming is a dream I am a competative online player and didnt want to sertle for not getting the bedt image quality. Let me put it to you this way it is more enjoybale and i play just as good ss on my lg c9. I actually think im better as the natural motion with sony when motion is off is better so it somehow keeps up with movement betted even in game mode? Crazy right? We all think about inout lag and stuff yet dont think well can the inage itself keep up with the panels movement? The a90j is a stunner for gaming movies anything you want. It is the brightest, most detailed deep rich image ive seen habds down on an oled. Dont miss out or hold back you will be missing truely the best consumer tv made yet! Sry its taken me so long to get to this review I should of done it months ago!

I was very hesitant to purchase a Sony product after having bad experiences in the past. This was no different. Shortly after installation I discovered a vertical line of dead pixels. I understand things happen but Sony's warranty process is frustrating, time-consuming, and inconvenient. I also bought the same TV in the 83" size. Hopefully I have better luck with that one. But I will never buy another Sony product ever.

First off, i would have given it a 4.5 stars if allowed. Pros, it is a lot brighter than expected. Forget about the nits from the reviewers. You must see for yourself watching 4k movies in hdr its amazing and has lots of depth to the picture. Upscaling is fantastic on the A90J makes sdr or hd look almost native 4k . Also has alot of customizations available for picture settings, allowing you to add custom pro 1 and 2 through the calman bravia app. The Google tv is very smooth with no lag an Bravia Core is excellent , could be a game changer. Bravia Core with fast internet works great allowing for lossless audio just about as good as a blur ray disc.The audio sounds pretty good, but would still recommend adding a good sound bar or home theater system for all around surround sound when movie watching or gaming. Features for gaming, has hdmi 2.1 for next gen gaming. A ton of pucture customizations while in game mode. The cons, not very many. If you don't have a room with light control you will notice reflections on the screen. Would prefer 4 2.1 hdmi ports instead of 2. But, there is a work around when a splitter or 2.1 hdmi receiver becomes available. Lack of VRR at the moment, but Sonys says in the works winter 2021. CROSSING FINGERS. while playing in 4k 120 fps hdr, there is some noticeable banding in games that can be distracting. Hopefully there will soon be a fix (That part is why a 5 star wasn't provided). I stuck with Sony even after the debacle with Sony x900h on purchasing the A90J .Now my x900h is sitting in a closet collecting dust with a 4 year protection plan purchased through Sony . So Sony hear me out, PLEASE, figure out the issue with the 4k 120 fps hdr banding issue. The LG c1 and g1 doesn't have this problem. If no resolution then my next purchase may be with your competitor LG. So anyways this tv must buy for movie watching an almost there for next gen gaming . If Sony got creative an added some type of game optimization feature this tv would be untouchable from its competitors. Wish Sony would take gaming serious especially since they do own the playstation division. Maybe they should hire a Phil Spencer type person over there to get creative. Anyways hope this helps people on their decision to buy or not to buy. Good luck and be safe .

I've owned several high-end TV's from LG & Samsung and honestly, they don't compare to the brilliance of this screen. There is a lot of light in the room that this TV is located in and after some minor adjustments, the picture is amazing! No more reflections from the sunlight coming through the windows! Amazingly deep blacks, vividly bright colors. This screen is everything you could want from a TV, whether you're playing games, or watching movies. Only downfall that I have found so far is the there are only (2) 120hz HDMI ports, and 1 of those is for the ARC feature. So having this TV coupled with the A5000 soundbar only leaves me with 1 port left for either my Xbox Series X or my PS5. Really hoping this wasn't an intentional bias cuz Sony vs Microsoft. Would really like to find a solution to this so I can get 120hz for both consoles on this TV. Overall, very happy with this TV, and looking to buy the 75" Z9J after I move into my new house.

Extremely happy with my purchase after owning for almost a month. The Sony A90J was the first 2021 TV launched from any manufacturer and likely is going to be the best. Kudos to Sony for coming to market first. As of writing this, the LG G1 still is not available at retailers and there is no ETA. That made my decision to grab the A90J even easier. +Amazing brightness. Brightest OLED panel ever from Sony +Best picture and HDR on a TV available in the US (only the Panasonic OLEDs are in the same league but are only available overseas and are much more expensive) +Panel is a full speaker. Full sound comes from the panel itself! Sounds great. Best sounding TV on the market. Screen can be used as the center speaker in your home theater system if you have a full surround sound speaker setup and receiver. +Best processing and upscaling of non-4k content in the business +First TV to launch with Google TV. Best smart tv platform I've ever used. Every streaming app from the Google Play store can be downloaded. Tons of options. Live TV from YouTube TV is integrated well. +Backlit remote is awesome. Makes night use a breeze. +Netflix Calibrated Mode +Imax Enhanced Mode +10 Free Movies in the Bravia Core App (steams at FULL 4K bitrate up 80mbps) +Comes with adjustable stand legs that allows space for a soundbar or can allow the TV to sit flat on your TV stand -VRR capability will come later with a firmware update. Sony has definitely mishandled the VRR rollout with their TVs and the PS5. VRR is rumored to come out in Fall of 2021. Very disappointing -Only two HDMI 2.1 ports. 1 of them is eARC meaning you can only have one HDMI 2.1 console/PC input at one time if you are connecting to a soundbar or receiver for Atmos

This is an excellent TV. The picture quality is outstanding. The sound quality is unbelievable, it's like having a surround sound system. I was going to purchase the A95K but decided to go with the A90J. I did not see any difference between the two TV's besides the A90J producing better Blacks, meaning the picture wasn't washed out with too much brightness. In my opinion, the Sony A90J is a better TV than the Sony A95K, with both picture and sound quality. The A90J uses an LG OLED panel/screen where the A95K uses a Samsung QD-OLED panel/screen, I think that this is the reason the A90J looks better than the A95K. I do look forward to seeing what the Sony A95L has to offer as QD-OLED seems to have a lot of potential. I know the A95L is using a Samsung panel like the A95K but I don't think Samsung is the best option for the reasons I already mentioned, however Samsung seems to be the only manufacturer of QD-OLED panels/screens at the moment. In conclusion, the Sony A90J is an outstanding TV. It also comes packaged like a Premium Flagship TV, which it is.

Excellent picture quality. Easy to set up. I opted out of all the Sony ads. Set it up as a basic TV and I’m using my Apple TV for streaming apps. 4K HDR 120Hz. 4 total HDMI ports. Two 120Hz 2.1 HDMI ports. If you’re on the fence, go in store and compare OLED to non OLED. I think it’s worth the price difference depending on where you’re putting it in your home.

Bought this tv to replace my 2010 sony bravia 3d tv. I couldn’t believe the difference in picture quality of the new tv vs old. It’s like I had been living in the stone age for the last few years. This tv is fantastic. Great picture and sound, easy to set up and maneuver through the options, and thin, holy cow is it thin! The weight difference is crazy, too. My olf tv was a 55”, and I purchased the 65” for my new tv, and the new one weighs less. I know not recommended, but I did all the unpacking myself, and then had my wife help me get it to the console. Super easy. Very pleased with all the connections and quality of this tv. The only con is that the screen is glossy. This is great as far as claity and color vividness, but if you have a light source behind it, it will glare. But, if you plan and set up the room accordingly, you won’t be disappointed in this tv (in my opinion).

This TV is simply stunning! I honestly can’t think of any flaws. I have it mounted to the wall. The sounds is exceptional, very well balanced and chrisp! The color is super rich and the blacks are totally black. If you can afford it, I recommend getting it. If you can’t afford it, save money and get get it.

This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful TVs I’ve ever seen. I waited a long time to purchase an OLED TV and I’m glad I selected this one. It is outstanding in every way. There is so many ways to tweak the picture to your liking. Everything looks fantastic on this TV. Even older Contant looks fantastic on the TV as the upscaling with this cognitive processor is outstanding. The TV gets plenty bright, and have no issues I highly recommend this TV to anyone looking to acquire an OLED TV. The sound on this TV is very good but you will still need a dedicated surroundsound system to get the full effect.

Upgraded from an A8F oled which was great. This Master Series really brings out another level of picture quality. The additional brightness really lets HDR content stand out vs the A8F. Beyond the much improved brightness for HDR/Dolby Vision, the video processing is stunning. The picture produced from this set is effortless natural, and with the right content flawless.

Excellent TV if you are looking for a cinema level experience. TV has a large rich color range and very sharp contrast. OLED panel excels in dark room viewing. Blacks are as dark as the room will allow, no backlight glow. You will most noticably see when you have a bright light source shown in a dark room. If a flashlight shines at the viewer, you will think it is the real thing as the rest of the TV is dark while the light source can get very bright. TV gets sufficiently bright to view in daylight conditions, especially in vivid mode. I prefer standard. TV is designed for and does best with 4K media content. It takes advantage of what the TV has to offer. Google TV interface is very smooth and intuitive. Sound is impressive and powerful for out of the box. No plastic that vibrates or other items you do not want to hear. The volume at 25% is my prefered and 51% is loud. One tricky feature is low frame rate and quality content may stutter because the TV needs more frames to look right. This is why I went with the Sony. The hardware and software can interpolate and add more frames to smooth it out. Poke around the settings a little and it will display smoothly and look better than the original. Don't pay full price. Wait for a deal.

This tv is good overall; however, it has some issues. The good: Picture is really nice, motion is good, UI is smooth, and it looks great on a stand or on a wall. Sound’s not bad for a tv speaker either. It’s everything you’d expect from an oled from Sony. Sony has added some cool picture setting options that really make the picture pop even in a well lit room; it’s very impressive. The bad: First off, no VRR out of the box. Lame. Secondly, I went through two TV’s before getting one that wasn’t horribly defective (65”). The first panel had horrible banding issues along with a ”grid-like” effect that was visible across the entire screen in bright scenes. It’s was incredibly distracting especially while watching hockey. The second panel had the same issues as well as dead pixels. The third was finally acceptable, however there is still a faint “grid” pattern visible in really bright scenes. This seems to be some type of inherent issue with the technology. Not something that I expected from their “master series”. Third, the TV comes in a box that looks like a 3rd grader put together. Not a huge deal, but for a premium price I’d expect a premium packaging. People don’t wrap diamond rings in paper bags... If you buy this tv make sure to check for the banding issues and the “grid” pattern as some panels seem to be worse than others. Aside from the screen uniformity issues, I really enjoy watching movies on this tv. Hopefully VRR updates come soon so I can also enjoy next generation gaming. Good luck!

My goodness, the picture is perfect! HDR and SDR. So happy with this purchase. Competes with the latest and greatest from LG and holds its own. The build quality is fantastic. For the current price its a no brainer. Don't think anymore, buy it!
