So far everything is working great. I have had it for almost a year. I will say Sony has a great picture. The volume is good but I have always felt that Sony's need their surround sound/bar for optimal audio. I have yet to purchase the sound bar/surround sound but that is on the list. Don't let that stop you from purchasing though. It still has good sound. I just have to turn it higher than I did my Samsung.

I try to stick with high tier Sony whenever I buy a TV because I've had such great luck with them in the past compared to other TV brands. I went a little more mid tier with this one because it's for a room that doesn't see a lot of use. That said I'm impressed with the picture and sound quality for the $. I always check Best Buy when shopping for electronics because they tend to have the best prices most of the time and they make it easy to return if you need to.

Superb TV with sub-par remote

Love the picture/sound quality of this TV and that is why we wanted to replace the best we could ‘Like for Like’. Sony reps recommended this model. Unfortunately though, we feel the remote was definitely not a Like for Like but rather a downgrade. With streaming so popular these days, one would think fast forward would be an option. This remote does not provide a fast forward ability … on any apps. Huge disappointment. Additionally, it would be nice to have a back lit remote. We know Sony is not in the remote business but it would be nice to see the quality of remotes to meet the standards they provide in their TVs.

I purchased a Hisense U8H based on aggregate website reviews from "experts". The only thing that tv did better is get brighter. That only becomes an issue if you're watching a movie with super dark scenes in the middle of the day. This is a family room tv that usually gets Bluey or Peppa Pig, so glare isn't ever an issue. My only complaint isn't unique to this tv. Sony's UI isn't the greatest. This being my 3rd Sony 4k tv, they all possess quirks within the UI I've not seen on Samsung or LG. For what I needed, this was absolutely the best purchase for my home at an amazing price. I can't speak to the sound quality as I ran an external home theater system to it.

We were surprised by the variety of types, sizes, and quality on display. We had two associates answer questions and provide guidance to provide us with the television that would provide us with the best picture for our budget. We were also given a detailed explanation of the Best Buy warranty and credit card. Very pleased with our purchase. The crispness and depth compared to our previous television is amazing. We even followed up with a new sound bar.
