65 inch dream

I did have to return the tv due to a line of green along bottom of screen after 7 months. Sony customer service was great and actually upgraded me to the L model for no additional charge.

Sony is passing muster

I have 7 TVs. 1: oldest Sony demoted for a pixel issue. 2 -5 are all Samsungs, replaced or bought for specific purposes, all are in service. The 60" has a bright white flare in the upper left corner. #7 is a 42" off brand which is outside on a screened in porch. It has a built in DVD that didn't work when I was gifted it, but I don't use those anyway. Still working after 6 years outside! I expect the new Sony 65 to be great and it has a lot to live up to. So far, so good...

You can tell an actual difference without having a “professional eye “ most in scenes with black or dark screens. And i live in an open floor always sunlit room in a high rise apartment so, brightness definitely is there.

Frustrated with what I know is a good TV brand

Our last Sony lasted less than 2 years and was still under warranty. X90J. We got this one 4/10/2023. I have no difficulty connecting my Bluetooth headphones. I haven’t been able to cast or do Apple play for my iPhone. Very frustrating. I’ve been missing out on Patreon. This morning while on Sony, not spectrum cable box, the TV froze. I’m use to navigating this TV but I had to totally reboot to get the Sony to turn on and function with the apps. Right now I’m very frustrated. This is not the first time it’s frozen. On the last TV I had to work with Sony crawling into the TV. Then telling me it was fixed. In March I had them in my TV each of the three times. I much prefer to deal with my geeks at MY Best Buy. (They are not all created equal). Currently I’m waiting to see if they can connect my iPhone to a showroom TV. This store is Apple certified. They say it’s not my iPhone. : ( I have karma with electronics….

From Hisense back to Sony

To say I was dissapointed with the performance of that TV is an understatement. The ghosting was bad in gaming mode and picture quality when watching a movie was horrrendous even when trying multiple ways to set it up correctly. I decided to give the X90K a try since all my experience with Sony in the past has been great. The TV out of the box is just right. Gaming with the PS5 is way better than in the U7G. Don’t let the lack of free sync or other features pull you away from this TV. I feel many reviewers are not addresing enough the quality issues that lesser brands such as Hisense have, play it safe and stick with Sony, LG, or Samsung; I know I learned my lesson.

Performance is very good. About 6 months into use, it occasionally would "freeze" and we would have to perform a reboot or reset to get working again.

Amazing TV!

The staff recommended this TV when i asked which models were 4K 120hz. They were absolutely correct. It does everything i want and more. Will be buying my next TV at Best Buy. The financing option with 0% interest was a big help for me and allowed me to get the TV and feel like I was getting the best deal possible.

Unexpected hiss noise with center speaker mode

I paired the TV with Sony HT-A7000 soundbar, but I got weird hiss noise when using the TV as center speaker mode. I searched over internet and many people had experienced the same issue. Sony support told me the TV needs a "service", basically it means the technician will come to my home and repair the TV. This is unexpected for a band new TV like this high-end. I would not recommend this model before this common issue has been addressed by Sony. Other than the center speaker mode hiss noise out of the TV speaker, the TV functions as expected, and the image is stunning.
