So far this has been an excellent television from setup to performance. I'll be trying the gaming experience this Christmas I'm sure. I'll continue my reviews as I go along.

TV was certified by Geek Squad (GS) but i noticed a shade smear on the screen after setting it up at home. GS went to inspect TV then gave me options. Half and hour later I received a call from Geek Squad telling me that my only option was to return the TV returned and to select another TV; since my TV was "end of life". They should not have offered me warranty if it was irreparable. This has caused me wasted time and efforts.

Bought my first Sony tv bc I’d always heard and thought they were top of the line. 3 days after I set it up I turned it on and the bottom half of the screen was grayed out. After hours of research and troubleshooting I gave up and returned it. Giving 1 star bc Best Buy was great about accepting the return and issuing me a full refund. Bought a Samsung elsewhere because Best Buy didn’t have the model I wanted in stock.

Poorly designed. I'm not writing all that crap again. Short version, service with Best buy was total crap. TV has a lot of problems. 4K and 120 HZ don't work the same time if you have Dolby vision turned on which is on by default. After 4 hours of searching I finally figured out to turn it off you have to go through Bravia Notifications /how to turn on VRR. It's not listed under settings. HDR10 is trash.

Don’t buy this model, don’t waste money! It’s a very bad quality!

Principal used for OTA and streaming. Can’t wait for ATSC 3.0 to check out content when available on compatible internal tuner. Sound with internals is just OK but I have it connected to a Sonos Arc surround system. My first experience with Google OS, but it was easy to learn. Although it has frozen twice requiring unplug/ plug in to recover, not cool! Screen detail and colors are fantastic, not OLED quality but the full array backlight does a very credible job for a lot less money. Screen is subject to some glare/ reflection if blinds aren’t closed. Tuner is less reliable in pulling in stations compared to the TV it replaced. Don’t like the fact the audible tones button push are not adjustable in volume. They became annoying so I disabled them. Can’t find a way to cast successfully from my IPhone 14 to TV.

Purchased in February to replace 10 year old 48” Samsung. Incredible upgrade is all I can say. No problems so far just happiness. I wanted this mainly for our local sports teams. I was shocked at how good the picture quality is and no motion problems at all. I streamed a hockey game through our Apple TV and the image quality was so beautiful I almost cried. It made me realize just how awful our old tv was. Can’t wait for football season! This tv even makes our hard wired cable picture look fantastic. Also purchased HT3000 sound bar as package price. We now also have an incredible Dolby Atmos home theatre experience that we didn’t have before. Dolby Vision is really a nice feature and movies are amazing. We like google tv and the remote is solid and easy to navigate. Having a lot of fun gaming with this too. Love the way the stand adjusted to make space for the sound bar. Our tv stand purchased from Best Buy worked perfectly with everything. Couldn’t be happier!

This is a TV with a great picture. With that being said, I made several adjustments to get there. My 65” 90 model from 2017 got the red blink of death, and the normal troubleshooting wasn’t effective, so it more than likely required a bypass or power board replacement. I decided to do an upgrade. My 2017 model had a native refresh rate of 120hz, but between the software in the TV after all of the time I owned it, I could never get it quite right, and I’m very tech savvy. That being said, I was able to get everything looking good with the 120hz refresh rate excellent within a few hours after initial setup. The technology in current Sony TV’s have come a long way in the last 5-6 years. This TV also does a great job up scaling bad pictures, which heavily impressed me. You can take the preset picture settings and modify them to excellence. I found myself making minimal adjustments to the IMAX Enhanced picture setting, only altering the motion to dial in the faster refresh (FPS) rate. I was also able to effectively dial in the vivid picture settings to give max colors and HDR while having the refresh rate capabilities on full display without shadowing or juttering. Something I didn’t get on my previous model. I was not able to fully achieve this on my 2017 model during the whole 5 year time span that I owned it. I took a chance on this purchase because of the price point. The next model up was the 95K mini LED. I wanted a standard LED that could perform, as I had issues with pixels going out on a previous mini LED I owned for my bedroom. OLED is obviously the way to go, but the prices are still pretty high. This 90K model impresses at the price of $999.99. If paired with a higher end UHD blu-ray player, you get a fantastic experience! With all that being said, I cannot comment on the sound of the TV, as I use a Bose sound bar. In conclusion, Sony has clearly mastered the technology in their LED TV’s after years of work, right on the cusp of the OLED generation. Sony is the leading brand for digital imaging with camera’s, and much of that tech goes into their TV’s. Samsung TV’s are good too, but when it comes to detail, Sony is on top. My caveat to this is that it DOES vary by model with Sony. For the crisp picture, easily manageable refresh rate, 4K up scaling and detail with ALL picture modes, I rate this particular model 5 stars. If you want a great picture, you have to be familiar and willing to change the “correct” picture and motion settings. Consumers less familiar with what those settings are may not know how to particularly do that and get the desired result. Those who have given the TV a low rating based on picture have to consider multiple things. 1) Are you changing the correct settings to get the maximum picture quality? 2) Are you just selecting the preset settings and expecting perfection? 3) A sharp image can’t be improved simply just by increasing contrast and/or sharpness (a common mistake by many). 4) Is what you are inputting into the TV at the max quality the TV is capable of producing (garbage in/garbage out). Hopefully this has been helpful to at least 1 person. At the end of the day, do some TV shopping and research. Decide what will be best and functional for you, and decide if you are willing to learn and make adjustments on your own. If not, Samsung clearly makes TV’s more appealing for those looking for an easy out-of-the-box bright picture.

Its been less than 30 days and tv has a mark on bottom left side of screen that doesnt go away

The TV was easy to setup, network and get on line quickly. The remote has limited buttons so there is only so much to learn. I am currently using just streaming services and no cable or satellite. Picture is clear and bright in all all but direct sunlight. Sound is good for built in speakers. Now we will see if this lasts as long as my other Sony TV's.

I bought this for super cheap because it was a floor model in Best Buy. I had been playing my PS5 on an old 1080p plasma and figured it was time to upgrade. Ended up spending $250 on a TV that retails new for almost $1,000. So for someone who would have paid max $450-500 for a brand new TV, this is the best value I could have asked for. Great picture quality, the Google TV functionality is great to have. Very happy with my purchase.

Yes, I could have purchased an OLED TV for twice the price, but I am perfectly satisfied with this TV. The room is very bright with south facing windows, and the picture is clear and bright even during the day. The value for the money is excellent. Easy setup, Smart TV.

I have almost had this TV for a year now and have gone from having regular cable to just straight streaming services and have had no issues with either. Ease of set up was a welcome change and being able to download other apps and arrange them on the main page is great. Also, setting up my Xbox Series X and using the HDMI 2.1 is great. The picture is amazing.

Sony x90k. Best tv i have owned. Dont watch the YouTube reviews where everyone is trying to put Hisense and TCL as industry leaders. I own a Hisense also and the picture quality and processing is not even close to the x90k. Pictures I've added dont do the tv justice. This tv upscales lower quality feed close to 4k. YouTube TV, Netflix, Hulu all look great especially in hdr10, Dolby vision, and imax. Decent speakers as well.

The tv was packaged nicely and setup was straightforward. Picture setting were quite good out of the box and only took a few minor tweeks with the optimal settings from rtings dot com. There is slight blooming in dark scenes but it never was enough to bother me. Another standout of this tv is its ability to upscale non 4k content, aside from fast sports it is flawless and only minor juttering which seems to dicipate after watching a game for a few minutes. This television is definitely a step up from entry level tv’s and gices you 90% of the viewing experience of more premium tvs. In my opinion at the price point of $999.99 it puts the x90k at the perfect ammount of tech for the money without any early adopter tax put on the newest high end options.

Great TV. Does everything i want and more. Also good with my gaming systems. Vibrant color and sound.
