Excellent picture quality. Very happy with our purchase. Love the OLED tv's but concerned with the burn in issues. Just bought a 65" TCL 65R635 for the bedroom because of the reviews and price but no comparison in picture quality between the two. Sony is much better.

I ha done all my research and had narrowed it down to Lg Qned 90, or C1, and a Samsung QN 90. As I was browsing the selected tv’s, I eliminated the QNED because it wasn’t bright enough. (The room is very bright.) I loved the C1, but was afraid it might not overcome the glare in the bright room. I looked at the Q90 and was set to go with that, but right beside it was Sony c90k. The picture was almost as good at a substantially lower price. I talked to the salesman about the Sony models. He told me the x95k would be as good as the Q90, but was more pricey even on sale. I took the x90k home. When I got home, I was curious about any left over c95j in stock. I found an open box at a BB close to me. The next day I found that the open box x95j was a floor demo. The warranty started the day I bought it. I bought a 5 yr warranty all for less than the x90k without a warranty. My hard work paid off. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. The picture is amazing. The set-up was easy. Every nite while watching the tv, I am in awe at how good this set is, especially for the price I paid. If you can find one of these babies, buy it. If not go for the x95k when they go on sale. You won’t regret it, PS. I paired this with my Sony surround sound I’ve had for years. Great.

Beautiful picture that is very close to an OLED

I debated between this and the A80J OLED and decided on this model for two reasons. One is that I mostly watch in a brightly lit room with a wall of windows and two is the burn in issue with OLED tv's. I'm very happy with my decision. The picture is beautiful. Crystal clear with dark darks and gorgeous colors. I don't have any glare from the windows and watching in bright daylight is just as good to me as watching at night. The sound is sufficient for my type of viewing. I waited to get a sound bar and I'm glad I did since I don't feel the need for one at all. My only gripe is that the HDMI plugs are on the left side which it makes it difficult for me to get to them because of where I had to hang it (close to a side wall). That's not the tv's fault though so no mark down. I highly recommend this model if you want to get really close to an OLED picture but are worried about the burn in issue and typically watch in a brightly lit room.

A lot to like but a huge flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our family needed a 65" TV that had good off-axis viewing angles, is bright (we have windows on three of four walls), have non-reflective screen and support Dolby Vision/Atmos while being Airplay2 compatible. This TV checks all those boxes. The Google interface is not too bad either (better than our prior Samsung) but suffers from suggested content and ads like many others. The low score is because my unit has a serious flaw. There is a large cloudy spot right in the center in the screen. It also suffers from blooming which is made worse by the cloudy spot. The cloudy spot appears on menus and at static content. It appears to be an issue where local dimming is off (typically on menus). It mostly disappears in actual content where local dimming is on and set at medium or high, but is still visible at medium settings (see photos). With local dimming at low or off, it is very apparent. I will be returning this TV and seeking a replacement. I will update my review is the replacement is flaw free.

The colors were outstanding out of the box and I have just made a few minor tweaks. The screen seems flawless and I haven't noticed any deformities or blotches so far. The sound from the Sony is ok but I run things through a surround system most of time. I have also started listening through headphones quite a bit and the bluetooth connection has worked quickly and flawlessly so far. I am not the hugest fan of Google TV but am starting to appreciate its structure that gets me to content more quickly than Roku. I also want to specifically comment on how solidly this TV is constructed. It is heavier than expected and was flawless in all aspects when I unboxed it. I am also excited that I purchased it for a great price late in the model year. I suppose the new models will be better in some ways but this thing meets all my needs and is a joy to watch.

Clean crisp picture easy to set up remote has Netflix Amazon and YouTube buttons for one step access to the apps. I've had to delete and reinstall Disney+, Hulu and AppleTV apps due to non-function, but not sure if this is a function of the TV software or the apps. Sound could be better with spoken dialogue.

My Sony Bravia TV

It was easy to hang it on my wall and easy to connect to my internet hub. I connected it to my Bose soundbar without issue. My only complaint is about the Sony Android app store. They don't have Directv stream so I had to purchase a Roku stick. I hope they add this application soon so I can truly enjoy the full capabilities of this TV set.
