We bought this TV during Labor's Day Sale and not even a month the screen starts blinking and when you turn it off the screen is completely black. The next day I tried to turn it on and the TV started working and after 30 minutes it started blinking again and turn black. I called Best Buy and the guy help me a lot he went go ahead exchange our TV and was delivered within 3 days. Now I'm happy my TV is back. Good thing I bought the 5 year warranty if ever something happen again.

I like the TV. I'm a bit old school so it is taking me a little while to figure out how to work it. Thank goodness my grandchildren are showing me.

I have been reviewing 65-70 inch TV's for months now, my family room is fairly large at 16 x 25 so thought of a 70 inch 1080P Vizio or another brand, thought I dont need 4k so get a lower priced 70 inch. I noticed this set on Best Buy website with strong early reviews. I went to a couple other websites one in particular rtings.com, they gave it a 7.5/10, said cant get very bright, blacks not deep enough, I totally disagree, I have the set for 2 days now rate it a strong 9/9.5. Netlix 4K programming is stunning, my directv HD channels are very crisp, Sony PS4 beautiful. This is a beautiful set at a great price, Sony has put out a outstanding product here and this set was boxed extremely well when I got it home and opened it. I am quite happy I decided to go 4K especially with the up scaling. I literally watched for an hour some of the Netflix 4K ocean and water programs they have available and these are boring but the picture in 4K is stunning, if you're on the fence of purchasing this set, jump over and buy it!

I love the tv for every thing that it is. I gave a three star for the fact that no physical protection is offered. These tv''s are toooooo delicate. Please do something to fix this problem.

HDR, 4K, 120Hz (native). We bought this and a PS4 Pro Together. They get along well. I have noticed no motion blur on scenes with fast movement. and I can detect no lag in my input. The pictures is gorgeous. The Antenna Tuner picks up all the stations I would expect.
We have a century home. This is on top of the mantle, the screen is clear from both the living room and dining room (which is a pretty severe angle)
Pros:
Big
Lots of Inputs
DirecTV tuner built in (I will get to try this out tomorrow and update)
Bright
HDR 10-bit
Wide Viewing angle
Android TV is amazing
Cons:
Black screens don't look black. (however if there is an image on screen, you don't notice)

It was a tough call between the 65” Sony vs 65” Samsung, both good TV’s however I selected the Sony as I liked the color pallet more compared to the Samsung. Another factor was the seamless integration with a Sony Sound bar. I also liked the upscaling feature and Sony’s High Dynamic Range (HDR) really brought out vivid colors and accurate brightness. Finally, the Sony TV was also an Android TV was the icing on the cake allowing me to play my Android Apps. Only negative it would have been nice for the remote to have had a backlit so you can see the keys in the dark.

Was looking for a great 4k tv with all the bells and whistles for around 1000 bucks. This tv was 4k with HDR high dynamic range and a 120hz refresh rate. Everything I was looking for and for the price I was willing to pay. It's a Sony so you know your getting good quality. The tv looks amazing in 4k. It's a smart tv with lots of apps including you tube that has tons of 4k content to watch. I definitely would recommend this tv for anyone looking for a high end 4k tv that won't break the bank then this is your model!

I have enjoyed this upgrade from my 50 inch Samsung to the 65 inch Sony. First time also to hang a TV on the wall. I still sit back a little far from it so I don’t get to enjoy the definition quite as much as I do with my 40 inch gaming TV where I sit very close. Extensive menu choices, being a Google operating system, I’m familiar with but the user interface is a little cumbersome. The TV also says it supports voice input on the remote, but the remote does not have a microphone on it came with the TV. So if I want to use that feature I have to go out and buy a voice control remote, I think it was around 50 bucks right now. The arrow keys on the remote circle control are wrapped with many other menu choices on a separate circle around it and I’m always hitting the wrong button, that is got a good design, I probably will change the remote anyway whether or not I get the voice control . Overall seems to be a good TV, I hope it lasts as long as my Samsung plasma did, I sold it and it is still going strong.

Was trying to decide between the Sony xbr65x750d and the 850 model. The 850 was 1499 and claimed to do High Dynamic Range better where as the 750 was 999 and supposedly the HDR was an afterthought for this tv and only enabled through a software update. The two sets side by side in the store looked pretty close with the 750 in my opinion looking more natural in color and the 850 looking more oversaturated and unnatural in color, so I went with the 750. I had previously gotten the Phillips 4k player and watched The Secret Life of Pets on a 4k Visio set. I couldn't hardly watch the Visio because the movie blew up the whites so much I could barely see the lead dog and cat's body (which both were white) as they blended into the screen. I was bad mouthing 4K as a gimmick after that until I hooked my Sony 750 up and man what a difference! The movie was bright but not overly so and the characters from the movie were amazingly clear and life like. Even the white characters were brilliant. Also had a lip sync problem with the Visio on cable and blu-ray hooked up through a sound system that was totally rectified when I hooked the Sony 750 up. On non-animated 4K movies like The Magnificent 7 the picture is very crisp and detailed. Blu rays of Supernatural look awesome!! Tv does a great job of upscaling blurays so no need to replicate your bluray library with 4K's. All in all totally satisfied and glad I went with the 750.

This is a great TV at a perfect price point. I upgraded it from a 60 inch LG 1080 HD plasma screen, which was itself good, but this is much better! You need to immediately download the firmware update to get HDR and better internet / wifi connectivity, but it's worth doing. We thought about the slight more pricey 850d, but this had everything that we wanted without needing to spend $200-$300 more. A great purchase if you are looking to break in to 4K UHD HDR TVs. I DO wish that there was more 4K content out there...

For 10 years I watched my 46" Sony Bravia with no issues. So when I went to upgrade it had to be a Sony again. A theater in my living room. Bright Sharp vivid colors. What I noticed 4k does to poeple - make them ugly. Women cake on make up. But I digress. Back to the TV. I like smart tv option, but I still prefer my Roku ultra. The menu on the TV is slower and not as fluid as the roku. The tv remote is something to get use to. Not the best button placements. The black are blacks and not blotchy grayish black. The TV sends of a decent sound. But if you want movie experience I would get a sound bar. The apps work well in the tv environment. Set was real easy. Connect to WiFi and update and follow the instructions. When All is done play with color setting to get your own preference. I've had about a month and I love it. I own PS4 and games display come alive.

We were at Best Buy for hours deciding on what TV to get. It's usually between the Sony and Samsung. Standing before both of them they were so close in quality, picture and options. Sony won soley based on price. We got an awesome Black Friday deal on it and couldn't pass it up. We love the fact that it's a smart TV and we
can directly to the home page to access Netflix or other apps without having to turn on a whole other unit. We love it.

Awesome picture! Great 4K HDR mid level TV for under $1,000! Very smooth motion and crystal clear picture. The "Football Mode" video setting is not a gimmick and is a nice feature. When selected, there's NO MOTION BLUR or blockiness watching football games. True, you can see the differences between the Sony models visually, when they're all right there but for the money, this TV rocks! If you want you can go to http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x750d/settings and tweak the calibration settings but again, out of the box this TV rocks!
This is not a "Holiday" TV that is released right before Christmas and usually rushed with unforeseen problems. This is a well built TV with solid components. I ran the update (suggested update flyer taped to the instructions bag) and the software runs great. Connected the TV to my Onkyo receiver and the TV remote now works the Onkyo receiver volume automatically. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I bought this to replace my 4 year old Samsung, I was looking at the Samsung first but nobody could answer a simple question for me plus the newer Samsung did not have all the features I wanted. I have had the Sony for a couple months now and it is everything I expected it to be. The picture is great, there is no harsh glare on the screen, but if the picture is dark I can see a reflection of the lamp.
and the 120hz refresh rate means no motion blur.
the only nits I have are that the remote is a little clunky and some of the menus are a little confusing and took some getting used to, and some of the plugs on the back go in at 90 degrees as opposed to laying flat which meant extra spacers on the wall hanger to get the added room.

I love the picture, whether it's 4k coming thru or not, and it's usually not 4k you're watching, the picture is great, And 4k was remarkable. I was impressed.
It's in a pretty light room, and 65 inch Sony 800 series, and the picture is fabulous from straight on or off to the side. I'm learning to use Alexa with it, and I'm sure the limited skills I've learned are a fraction of what somebody who knows what they're doing could do. But it seems simple, and set-up was pretty basic, except starting all over fixed where I got stuck for looooong time once as couldn't get tv/alexa/my phone to all "detect devices, i.e., see each other.
TV. This Sony is best tv I have ever owned. The most fun, and best LED picture I've had. I lucked out and despite envy for the next 2 models-up, especially local dimming, I'm glad I saved money and got some hue lights with the difference. This smart home stuff is fun.

Has all the features of a higher end 4K HDR at a great price point. I looked at this unit last year but decided not to jump to 4K at that time. Sony has come a long way back from a few years ago. Picture, features and quality of build are all top shelf.
