I have some 3D Blu Rays I love, but wanted the additional resolution of 4K and the enhanced software, so I purchased this TV. It is better than I imagined it would be … resolution, color (blacks and whites an colors come alive) and it even upscales my standard Blu Ray Movies. My 1080p 3D movies "come alive" … did not anticipate that. Not only that, but it was easy to install and hang (did it by myself). One of my best purchases ever!!

Almost 3 years later i decided to write a review on it. I have a 65" Samsung QLED 4K TV as my daily driver and a 65" Sony 4K in my bedroom but i wanted a nice TV for my game room and 3D was a must. This was the best 4K TV I could find that still did 3D. I looked at the right time and got it on sale for $1999, five hundred bucks cheaper than the used one I found! I absolutely love this TV!! My wife's cousin didn't believe me when I told him it was an LCD, he said it blows his LG OLED out of the water. While I love Samsung products this TV has won me over for quality!

Fantastic contrast and brightness. Stunning picture - really black blacks. As close to OLED as you can get. Works great with 1080P cable source, much better than my old 1080P Plasma.

This TV provides an incredible picture, the best I've seen. Sony loses points, however, because of their horrible documentation. It is very inconvenient to use and sometimes quite inaccurate (diagrams don't reflect actual TV set). It is a shame that so much time must be wasted in frustration because of the poor documentation to get things up and running as desired so as to be able to begin enjoying the incredible picture. For this price, they could have included a comprehensive and accurate user guide book rather than the mostly useless information they do provide. You will find the picture awesome.

One of the best TVs ever made, I know it's a 2016 model, but still beats most of the new higher end led TVs from Samsung. Try spectiv TV on your streaming device to see how beautiful the picture is on this tv, very bright and crystal clear, buy one before they are all gone at this incredible price, hdr, Dolby vision, atmos, some of the nice features of this tv

Picture is amazing. Colors are so good. ULTRA 4K Blows your mind & the 3D is the best I've experienced. I would totally buy the 75" If I had the $$$

Coming from a XBR 55x850d, i expected a nice update not Major. But what i got was a MAJOR update. This unit was made to go against OLEDs and it does it's job well. Great brights without looking washed out. And VERY good blacks maybe not true blacks like OLED but very close. Colors, contrast and clarity is all great. Very impress with my purchase. Keep up the good work Sony.

The first time I saw this tv, I knew I wanted one. I waited, read reviews, read comparisons & finally pulled the trigger. When watching 4K content, this thing is amazing! The black level, clarity, & detail in dark scenes is truly amazing with native 4K content. I used a Spears & Munsill Blu-Ray Disc to calibrate & adjust everything myself & am very pleased with the results. Over the air broadcast television picture is extremely good too. Watching both NFL & NCAA games, I've had no issues with blurring of high speed motion. The only thing I've found disappointing is that there is pixelating in dark scenes of up-converted (1080P) material. The picture when viewing up-converted material is still very very good, but you can see that the tv struggles to bring those lesser signals up to par with the true 4K source material. That being said, I have yet to see a tv that up-converts any better & I would absolutely buy this same set again.

Great picture. Very detailed with very dark blacks. Love the 3D. Slight flicker in bright lights.

If you are looking for the best TV out there, but have been mesmerized by the OLED marketing hype and don't know where to turn, choose this TV. The color, brightness, and black levels are incomparable. If you live in a cave where it is dark all the time, go with the A1E. For everyone else, choose this TV.

THE BEST TELEVISION IN THE PLANET AND IN THE UNIVERSE!!! You have to buy it see it and believe it! I can’t take my eyes away from the picture quality of this television! OH MY GOSH!!!

Bought this in late October so I haven't had it for a long time., But so far I'm blown away by this TV. Only problem is It does not support HDR through a UHD player right out of the box. You have to go thru the settings to turn it on. Set the HDMI your using to enhanced. As far as deep blacks this is not an OLED but is very close. In my opinion the Z9D is the best LED TV in the market. This TV also does 3D.

This particular TV was recommended by Best Buy Geek Squad Consultant over more advanced ones (QLED, OLED...) because of the brightness of our living room and for the quality of the images and overall quality of the TV. My wife and I had decided to upgrade our tv and he'd settled on a model, when one of the folks on the BestBuy team pointed out this discontinued model, marked down thousands of dollars from its original price. The picture is breathtaking, the upscaling spectacular. Very few remain in stock. Grab it while you can!

I bought this TV on July 4th weekend as a open box item at a great price to put in my master bedroom. I have a LG OLED 65 E6 in our family room and the Sony has comparable picture quality if not better due to its ability to get so bright. I am not sure why some have rated the Android operating system a negative . I really like the Androids system you can even side load apps,

After many months, I am still blown away by the stunning picture quality of this set...especially with 4K and 3D Blu-ray discs, but also with 4K videos on YouTube. My friends and relatives were speechless when they saw their first 3D nature documentaries on it. Thus far, I have ZERO complaints about any aspect or feature of this unit.

I've been using this for a few months now and just love the set. I settled on this model because it still supported 3D which is something I wanted in a 4K set. I haven't been disappointed in it yet, everything looks great, especially when I'm watching content that supports Dolby Vision. Some of best lighting and contrast I've ever seen on a TV.

We have a lot of late afternoon sun in our house and this tv is great for handling that issue

Sony died an amazing job, brilliant colors, amazing blacks. Can't wait to watch a 3D movie.
