Lusted for this TV for years, but it was always too expensive. After it was out of the production, remaining stock fell to a price too good to pass up. Even though it is several years old, it was made so well that it has certain features better than Sony's 2019 top tier TVs. Wanted LCD to avoid burn-in from video games that OLED can get. No real complaints except that on the home screen, there is a slight difference in brightness on the far left side, but this vanishes when viewing any content.

This TV is stunning. The clarity and brightness is unsurpassed. A bit pricey but in the long run I believe it will pay off.

The picture on the TV is amazing. Though you’d have to play around with the setting a bit to get the picture how you want it to look, it’s about as sharp as an OLED. However I play games on the TV, therefore did not want to get an OLED because of the burn-in effect. The sound quality for such an expensive TV is sub-par. I bought an sound bar/amp to rectify this. Also, for some reason the Sony version of Android TV doesn’t have all video apps. While it has the basics (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and others), there is no Crunchyroll (to watch anime) and some other apps on the TV. I would suggest that Sony build more apps for their TV or just use the full functionality of Android TV.

I have been a Sony TV person for over 40 years now, and this 90Z is the best one yet. The picture and sound are just great! When other comes over i don't have to say anything. The look on their faces says it all! This is the best Sony ever!

best overall TV not dark as OLED TV'S,but shows the best sports pictures against any TV including OLED THERE A LOT MORE TO SAY ABOUT THIS TV,BUT NOT ENOUGH TIME the price is scary but i can handle it, and the dark picture is close the OLED

Great, crisp picture quality and smart tv options. A little sluggish for my taste with the android tv and response timing. But I’m comparing to an LG OLED. Other than that, overall great product, excellent options for apps and interactive tv.

My Panasonic ZT plasma malfunctioned and I had to get another TV. This was it. Only this TV and the LG OLED tv were considered. For a lot more money, this was a little better. So, I bought.

Delivery and set-up by BestBuy was flawless. This is by far the best TV I've owned; and I've had several top-of-the line TVs including Pioneer Plasma Kuro and other Sony XBRs. The additional Sony htnt5 sound bar adds the finishing touch. Pricey but beautiful!

I love everything about this TV! Has an excellent image and if you have an audio system is much better! Something that I loved in this TV is that has Google Assistance built-in and does really easy to navigate in the menu of this Android TV. There are some issues when you see 3D movies but I reviewed in some Sony Forums and it is only to adjust the settings and you are going to see a beautiful 3D image. Colors are amazing and the black are completely black!

Tv looks great, performs very well in bright light. Very happy with the choice.

had sony xbr55x930d that went belly up after a few months. sony replaced it with xbr55x930e which didn't have 3d capability. wished i had bought this model first. more expensive but darn worth every penny and it does still have 3d. would highly recommend .

I would recommend this TV to anyone interested in buying a TV. Great picture and very user friendly!

My current 3D TV isn't 4K and is over 7 years old. I've been wanting to replace it, but the Z9D price has been too high. The recent price drop put it in line with other TV's. I've had the TV for 1 month now and I couldn't be happier. I have a large collection of 3D movies and they look amazing on this TV. It's great that Sony is still making a 3D/4K TV, has everything you need. YouTube and Netflix easy to get to and loads fast.

This television has the most brilliant, sharpest picture of any tv I've ever owned. Not only for 4k content but when it upgrades the less then 4k shows (most of them) when watching. As an extra bonus it also has 3D for those movies on HBO that are 3D. The speakers aren't very good, so I recommend a good sound bar for the best television experience.

Nothing else really to say. Great quality and colors. Was hard at first to decide to lay down the $6k but after doing so i am very happy i did.

So I saw this tv on the showroom floor and it had me sold. I’m not sold on the OLED technology yet as I had one and had burn in but I love this LED and it’s on it’s way!

Best tv ive ever owned..excellent picture and 3d..

I came across the Sony Z9D on display at my local Best Buy and loved the picture it produces. I wasn’t planning on buying this tv and was thinking of getting a 55 inch 4K tv to replace my busted tv. The Sony has rich colors and a very bright backlight which looks awesome in movies when a lens flare scans across the screen it makes you nearly squint lol.

Looked at many tv s. Oled led and found that ur viewing usage room size and brightness and cost are determining factors overall I wanted a bright eye popping picture and the Sony delivers this. Easy set up on screen just follow the instructions and it’ connected to stereo and computer impressed with hidden cable panels in back. Sony got it right
