Great picture quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want a good basic TV with excellent picture quality but without the price tag to go with it, this is the tv for you. It doesn't have all the frills that some do, but the Sony excellence shines through in what it does have.

Nice tv but poor interface
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first experience with a Google android interface. Most of my other products are amazon or apple. Tv has a nice picture & sound but the interface is terrible. Very slow response to remote. You can connect to an echo but it’s constantly going offline. App Store is not as updated as amazon fire tv. It’s actually pretty frustrating that I paid so much for a tv and it has these issues. Yes I know there are more expensive ones but there’s also less expensive ones! Learn about the interfaces before buying, they won’t really demo or let you play w it at the store. Knowing what I know now, I would not buy this tv again.

Worked great for just 3 years.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased May 27th 2019. July 2022 tv has no picture and 6 red flashing lights. Was always plugged into APC battery backup surge protector. All indicate backlight and or LED is bad. Great TV while it worked. I have a 2010 Sony Bravia LCD that still works great. Will not be purchasing another Sony TV due to all the negative reviews for similar makes/models. The quality of components from the external case to internal boards look and feel cheaper compared to previous years. Sad times.

Poor Reliability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the 55" model of this TV in November of 2019. I love the Android OS that this TV used for the app selection and the display quality was great! However, we kept having issues with wireless networking that only had one resolution, factory resetting the TV. Eventually we ran a cable to the wall just to avoid having that issue and things were great. Suddenly the TV wouldn't turn on, just 13 months after purchase (and 1 month after Sony's warranty expired). No lights or indicators, the TV is just totally dead. Sony doesn't have an authorized repair shop in South Florida and told me I'm out of luck since the warranty is over. I've had LGs, Sharps, and several Samsungs and I've never had a TV die on me especially after such a short time. If you asked me when I got this TV, I would have given 5 stars. We absolutely loved this TV and thought we'll slowly replace the house TVs with Sonys. But I can't overlook the poor lifespan of this Sony and seriously regret straying away from Samsungs.

Broke after 15 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 15 months (just outside the warranty), vertical lines appeared and there was no picture. Did all the troubleshooting and customer support was useless. Having to pay to get it repaired as it is the LED box. Will cost a total of $800 to repair it. I have had Samsung’s for 12 years with no problem. Last time I buy a Sony!

TV broke within 3 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV four years ago and it broke within a year - wouldn’t start up all the way and kept rebooting. Repair guy said it couldn’t be fixed so Sony replaced it since it was within the 1 year warranty. Now, less than 3 years later the new one is doing the same thing and is in a continuous reboot loop. We reset it to factory settings but still keeps rebooting. Read that this is a common issue with Sony TVs (google “Sony continuous reboot loop”) and cant be fixed. Have been buying Sony TVs for 20 years but this will be my last.

A little disappointing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not too happy with my purchase. Just bought this tv 2/15/20. It looked great in store. Got it home and after calibration it still isnt where I would like it. And it also keeps disconnecting from my network. Will be returning and exchanging for something else.

Sony sells lemons
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of my Sony 800.00 televisions is a lemon. Bravia kd-60x690e It only lasted 2 years with minimal use as I live alone and work all week. One year out of warranty but clearly a Sony television that is only 2 years old is a lemon. I contacted Sony several times only to receive robotic responses directing me back to their website. This is a multi billion dollar company. They should stand by their loyal customers. Our family has been loyal to Sony since the 1980's. We exclusively buy only Sony electronics because of their stellar reputation. However, I am extremely disappointed to learn that they are not reimbursing or replacing this television.
