I am able to increase and decrease the brightness by predetermined percentages, which works fine. The volume is very good! I haven’t had it even up to half way and it can be heard very well in the kitchen which has a doorway to the living room and is about 20-25’ away. The only problem...I was told by the sales person that I can use the Bluetooth to connect headphones to it. That is not right. The only devices that can be connected by Bluetooth are external sound bar, mouse, those such devices. Definitely not happy about that!

We thought it might be easier for her to use rather than having a billion remotes (she was still using Roku!). However-- we will definitely be creating a one-sheet of quick instructions for her. It isn't as intuitive as we thought it might have been. That's not a bad remark...just make sure you do a training session with your tech-challenged fam!

The viewing angle is also really wide, so we set it up on the side of a large rectangular room and everyone still gets a good picture. It's got some built-in internet channels you can turn on (Xumo and Pluto tv) that show up when you go above the antenna channels. They have some ads, but it's a fun little bonus. It's easy enough for my retired parents to figure out as well, so that helps.

Great Sony TV Picture

I opted to go to the 65 inch and the upgrades are much more user friendly. The remote is easier to use for the settings. The menu is much more coordinated for the settings as well. Picture like my previous Sony is great! I have it in STANDARD mode and the screen is very true and life like. We use the CINEMA for our streaming and Blu Ray.

I had been debating between a 55" and 65". I'm so glad I got the 65", it's not much bigger in total size from the only 50" Plasma it replaced, but the experience of watching a movie or anything on it is at a totally different level. It's great. I use a 4k Apple TV to drive it and the Dobly Vision basically set itself up.

Minor backlight bleed that is barely noticeable and really nice blacks. The picture quality is crystal clear and everything really has that “pop” you see when they are on display at the store. Great picture from different viewing angles and an incredibly refined menu system. If you are looking within this price range don’t even look at the competition.
