    never had a problem with anything that i got for Sony till i got this TV as a replacement . the model before this was great . this one ...... CONS...... cant update apps all at once no google play sound not at clear GLITCHY picture freezes I HATE THIS TV

    Needs a course to communicate..!

    We bought this garbage in February but it is so complicated and we always have trouble with it. We are not going to pass a specific course for any device we buy.! It is so slow connecting to the network and responding to the orders. It was my first and last Sony ever.

Network issues can be frustrating because they can cause apps not to load, movies to buffer, music to not play properly, or other errors. Issues, such as the device can't connect to the network, errors occurring when trying to connect, or service unavailable, may be caused by several factors.     for a smart Tv, it's not very smart as i can download apps that are need to watch spectrum.

If you are referring to the Spectrum TV app, we are sorry but this is currently not available on our X80K(and other latest models). The Google Play Store or Search for apps on the Google TV only display apps that are supported by the TV. However, this TV has Chromecast built-in. You can use the built-in Chromecast feature to cast the content from the Spectrum TV app on your mobile device to this TV. For more information on what apps you can download on the TV and how to use the built-in Chromecast, please check these links below:

    I think we need in home geek help with tv control use and sound bar use. not really as happy as we hoped. Guess it is all a lot more complicated than we ever dreamed a tv cpould be, Is in home instruction available with out laughter

    Makes everything look fake , like your watching a stage show ? I can’t explain it but it ruins all movies , tv shows takes the cinema out of it , if that make sense

      Hi Munch60517, We are sorry to hear about the issue you are having. You can disable this "stage show" or motion smoothing effect on your TV by turning off the CineMotion and Motionflow feature.

      To turn it off this setting, press the (Quick Settings) button on the remote control, and select [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — [Picture] — [Motion] — [Motionflow] — [Off].

      Change the current setting of [CineMotion] to [Off].
      Press the (Quick Settings) button on the remote control, and select [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — [Picture] — [Motion] — [CineMotion].

    I would say the worse smart TV I have purchased to date. The way to select new channels to viewing the guide. I wish I had noted the return date earlier but now I guess I am stuck

      Thanks for reaching out! We regret to hear you are experiencing some picture issues with your TV and it hasn't performed to your standards. This is not the experience that we want you to have.

      The quality of the source is a big factor in getting an excellent picture quality. We recommend to verify if the issue occurs on other channels and other video sources (e.g., Cable box, Signal Channels, Blu-ray Player, PlayStation, or any other external input). Having said that, picture mode settings provide preset adjustments for the type of picture you are viewing. Picture settings also allow a wide array of changes to color, contrast, clarity, and brightness that can improve the viewed content on your Google TV.

      It's also unfortunate that the unit had to be returned. We could've walked you through with some troubleshooting and offer assistance with our product.

      We hope you will consider Sony again in a future purchase. Thank you for the feedback.

    Did not like this tv, the corners had black shadowing in the corners and some edge lighting lines returned and bought a Samsung q80 instead

    Loses internet connectivity frequently

    This tv frequently loses connection to my wifi. At least 2 or 3 times a week I'm forced to complete a restart on the tv to regain connectivity. It is extremely frustrating.

    Had the Sony TV for a week. It was easy to set up. I and a friend set it up in about thirty min.. The color is great and brightness I love. Easy to set up with internet and blue ray. Love it so far!

    Spectacular TV, Not durable and get EXT WARRENTY

    Had this TV for just over a year. Enjoyed it watching sports, movies, and gaming. Watching Anime and Marvel movies is THE BEST on this TV. Best picture quality you can get. This TV lasted me for just over a year. Premium TV is expected to live up to its name and price, right? Here are some faults that I noted. - As a new TV you could easily spot small patches of dark cloud in all 4 corners. - Switch the TV to black background and you would notice white light bleeding all over the screen. You may not enjoy watching horror movies on this TV. Or games that have more black. - There is no escaping from glare. - I noticed a light gray square in the center of the screen and contacted Sony. Unfortunately, they said they couldn't do much as there is NO SONY SERVICE in ARKANSAS/ BENTONVILLE. There won't be any help from Sony if you are out of a year's warranty. So my suggestion is - You would definitely enjoy this TV but be advised that this TV might come with a shorter life span and there are no service centers around. I had to sell mine for less than half the price since there was no support. You might end up servicing the TV with a local repair shop or selling it like me. Get an extended warranty from Sony, they would mail you when you are about to run out of warranty, unsure what would be covered but it might save you some out-of-pocket.
