Phenomenal TV and is perfect for gaming especially! But the quality is worth every penny paid to get this tv!

I’ve had several brands of LEDs. Some were edge lit, full array, and now direct lit. The last TV I had was Vizio and it was full array. After about 5 years though, it started to turn blue. I knew I didn’t want to go with Vizio again, and also wasn’t sure maybe full array wasn’t for me. There was some ghosting in mine. I have several edge lit LGs at home that are older and still working great. I was already prepared to get another LG but there was a Sony Rep there who asked me what I was looking for. I wanted a direct lit panel but just couldn’t justify the cost difference. Until he showed me Sony models that fit the criteria and wasn’t all that expensive as I’d thought. Color reproduction is great. Sound of the TV I don’t know since out of the box was connected to a soundbar. Controller is easy to use. The UI is great since it’s just GoogleTV. The one complaint I have are the blacks though. They seem more dark grey than anything. The screen is really bright that I did have to turn the brightness down a little. I was watching it one night and had to shut my eyes when an all white screen appeared. Overall a great TV. The blacks only are noticeable when watching in a completely dark room. Probably also doesn’t help I have LEDs around the back of the TV so it makes it more noticeable. I can see why Sony is a sought after brand of TV. Their processing of color and image is just top notch.

I upgraded from a 48 inch to the 65, and not only is the large screen bright and vibrant, but the design is very sleek and minimal, and looks beautiful when i have the Apple TV play music or while watching a movie, a huge bonus is that the tv supports Dolby Vision. The contrast is fantastic considering its not an OLED panel. In my opinion, its far better than anything you could get in this price range.

Great TV wonderful picture and sound. Good looking TV. We are really enjoying it and thinking about buying another one for the bedroom. Mike and Ben set it up they were kind fun and respectful.

This tv is amazing it gives you the best picture, that matches what you see on the big screens at the movies. I had to rewatch a bunch of old movies becuse it brought the moves to life the colors sharpness it was like watching the movie for the 1st time again. Easy tv to set up interactive apps easy to use and set up amazing quantity of a tv. Im planning on purchasing a 2nd tv for my game room this tv gives you the most natural picture not like othere brands were the colors are bleeding through with to much color that the picture dose not look natural or balance. Most movies are shot with a sony camera this tv lets you see what the director wanted you to see love this tv you wont be disappointed.

One of my first major tv purchases I’ve made and I’m glad I chose this one! Excellent picture and practically zero bezel. Very friendly and fast user interface and works well with my Apple TV. It has Bravia sync so setup is a breeze once it learns what is connected. Love being able to use the tvs remote to control my Apple TV it makes it a lot easier. I can see why it costs more than other 4k tvs at the same size just based on the quality of feature and picture representation. I turned a lot of the feature like motionflow and live adaptive contrast off because it honestly looks better without it. If the picture doesn’t look good most likely it’s because the internet can’t handle 4k streaming or the streaming device is underpowered

An excellent TV from a brand I trust. Excellent sound and Picture quality. No issues so far and with the price. Delivery was hassle free on time. The Delivery men were courteous, speedy and professional too.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this but it was on sale and when I saw it had HDR10, Dolby Vision, and others.... Google TV is like having an nVidia Shield but without the nVidia AI enhancements on picture but the Sony one may be better. The old TV I had was a TCL 65" HDR set from 5 years ago that was great but it always had sound sync problems. This Sony set doesn't have this issue with my Bose Smart 60 soundbar with eARC that does Dolby Atmos, DTS, Dolby Digital, etc. I hooked up my 5th gen Apple TV and to my surprise, the Sony remote was able to control the Apple TV. Despite reviews online, this TV has very good picture for the price. Maybe all those reviews were used to far more expensive TVs but for me, this set does all I wanted.... sound sync is a non-issue, it supports Dolby Vision, HDR10.... and it all just works great. I liked how the stand legs attach in the bottom by sliding in... for the stand, I had a stand that's 4 feet wide and the feet just fit on with a few inches to spare. It comes with what I assume are Vesa mounts to attach to a wall but I can't speak to those since I don't have such a mount.... but with it 3 feet off the ground, the quality is good enough for me to watch off angle or right in front of it.... but it's all I expected. Only minor gripe is that unlike my TCL TV, the HDMI connections are on the left side... it seems odd but it's fine. I haven't tested the ATSC 3.0 tuner yet but since channels here have DRM on them for all but ABC and FOX, I'll deal with that until that madness ends... that's a video for another day and not related to the TV. Still, this is a great TV and worth the $700 I spent on it. Google TV is better for me than Roku (which I had before) because it reminds me of the nVidia Shield which I love. But for using Plex and other video apps, I prefer the Apple TV 4k 5th gen since it converts audio very well from hi-res sources to my sound bar. Dolby Vision support on that is native to the device and that is just super nice. But if you want to use streaming services, Google TV has the apps and works as well as you'd expect for Apple casting and Google ChromeCast

This TV has been one of the best smart TVs I have bought. It's very easy to use and has a very clear picture. There are a lot of apps that the TV comes with and you can even connect your Google account to it.

Haven’t been disappointed yet. An out of box unit. Great deal for a great Tv. I’ve been a fan of Sony TVs for years. Have had a Sony tv in the bedroom for 7 years now and it’s still going strong so I thought I’d go for a Sony again for my new tv purchase for my living room. Great quality and easy to use anyone could use this tv with ease. Would highly recommend.

I bought this to replace an 8-year-old flat 55" LG LED TV. Picture: This is my first 4K TV so I won't comment much on the picture quality. It looks amazing, but I can't say whether it is better than other 4K TVs. I was shocked at how good even standard HD (1080p) looks -- the 4K upscaling really works. From certain angles I can see a bit of light bleeding around the edges when the picture is very black. Sound: This TV sounds great with the native speakers. The audio is full and rich and there's no distortion at high volumes. Much better than the LG LED TV it replaced. No need for a soundbar unless you're really into a high-end audio experience. Software: Make sure you know your Google (and WiFi) password before you begin setup. In fact, make sure you have Google Home installed on your phone and you're logged in. If you have all of that ready to go, setup is pretty easy. The Google interface is fine, though it does force "suggestions" on you that I wish I could get rid of. Hardware: It's a little thicker and heavier than the LG it replaced, but I imagine this is due to the build quality that Sony has always been known for. If you are wall-mounting, make sure to screw in the extenders that come with it. The screw holes are recessed in the back and I didn't notice the extenders and had to go to the hardware store for some extra-long M6 screws. Otherwise, I was able to install this on my existing mount fairly easily. Remote: The remote is pretty basic but I was pleased that it can control the main functions of my cable box. I wish it had a couple of more buttons -- cable box power and last-channel, to be specific. The voice command feature works well.

Came in to Best Buy for a LG television and it was model change over so no LG television to buy and the salesman steered me to the Sony tv which was an opened box return. I got the television with a 5 year warranty under the price of a new Sony television

This was the first time I actually purchased a large ticket item for myself from best bye. But after speaking with the sales person and having all of my questions answered, my mind was at ease. Even had information on how to mount it on various wall types. This flat screen has made an amazing difference in my life. No more fuzzy pictures or messing around with an antenna to gain a clear image. To tell you the true I’m sure if it weren’t for the honesty and reliability of the store I go to, I might not have gotten such a large purchase. Usually I stay with the smaller items. This is by far my best TV. Picture quality is perfect, I do not have to update software always like some other brands, the remote has all the right buttons and you need to hear the sound quality. Sony is back in the game.
