This TV has exceptional picture quality. Motion is handled beautifully and the overall performance is almost flawless. There are two drawbacks that are worth mentioning: when the TV is viewed at an angle, the colors degrade noticeably, and the interface can be a little sluggish at times. A third 'complaint' would be that local dimming can produce blooming around very bright objects displayed against a black background (the white Food Network logo comes to mind.) This is almost unnoticeable unless the TV is viewed from an angle. With local dimming disabled, the blacks are not great but they can be improved by setting the Black Level to Low or Medium (I don't recommend using the High setting). Another feature I use on the Medium setting is Smooth Gradation, which prevents / reduces color banding. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this TV and would purchase it again. Rating 9.5/10

This TV is for TV general users who enjoy how TVs have been in the past with the new Smart TV features. The overall picture is awesome and it gets really bright and has great contrast. Though, it can't get as black as the OLED's of course or even the high end Samsung's and viewing from a slight angle reveals some bloom. I wasn't a fan of DV personally and the OS wasn't very intuitive. I ended up returning the TV after these feelings and having a dead pixel in the first week of purchase.

Have always had a Samsung big screen. No longer. This set has made me a Sony fan for life. The color is so much better than my last Samsung 8 series. Clear crisp and amazing!!! Got a good deal at Best Buy and credit card points used for a gift card made it even more of a steal! Highly recommend!!!

This Sony 65” 900f set has exceeded my hopes and expectations! The picture quality is the very best that I have ever seen. Setup was amazingly simple and right out of the box I am very pleased with its video and sound levels. I looked at other brands, however, went for the absolute best and chose Sony. Very, very satisfied.

The wife now sees why you pay a little more for a better tv. She sees it now!!!! With that said, the tv quality is great, hated the remote at first but have now got use to it. But still bugs me cause my fat thumbs.. thats probably all I have bad to say about this set, definitely worth it!

Been looking at this for a while and the price got right. Happy with the picture, color and brightness. Simple cable management makes my bride happy. Second Sony and I am very pleased so far. Wife’s first comment was that I can see the sweat on their faces in the first season of The Office.

What can I say?... Sony has done it again... they have made a great high end tv at a competitive price. This is the best tv out there that one can buy instead of shelling out 2x as much for an OLED. This will be a great option to buy into and cover your tv needs over the next 5-7 years while OLEDs come down in price.

The picture and color on this TV is amazing. I was originally looking for a TV in the $600 range. After looking at the different Sony and Samsung models we decided to upgrade to this model. I am glad we decided to spend a little more. This is a huge upgrade from oyr 10 year old Sony Bravia

This is my first Sony TV (always had Samsung before) and I must say the image quality is fantastic. Very bright colors all around, and a powerful processor to keep live action very clean (no more fuzzy rendering of the thrown ball for example). Great buy!

Picture is amazingly sharp in all uses (I'm an antenna guy) with a super ability to follow action. Best detail we've ever had. Also the TV sound is very clear and doesn't require a high volume level. Nice bonus. Just has super features that we really use. I also use a surround rig and enjoy the combo. Easy set-up.

I’ve always been a big fan of Sony TVs. In fact the oldest TV in my house ( we have 4 ) is a Sony. The picture is amazing, the sound which is processed thru a Sony Home theater is awesome. Easy to set up and recognizes all of my 4 DVD players. All in all I am very pleased with this TV.

I had a 10 yr old Sony TV that I was waiting to die before I bought a new TV, but decided to go for it anyway. Love the TV - rich colors, deep blacks, and great picture clarity even with fast action. Hopefully it will be as reliable as my last Sony - if not, I will amend this review.

After doing a ton of research and reading on TV’s I had decided that this was the one for me. Actually went in to get the 55”, but this was on a bigger sale and so I splurged a bit. Setup was easy had no issues connecting it to my WiFi in home. The picture quality is awesome! It was very comparable to the Samsung Q8 but at a cheaper price. I think the only picture quality that was slightly better would be the OLED high end but again can’t justify the extra expense for a slightly better picture. I watch lots of football and basketball-great motion handling. The biggest complaints I had read were the remote-I guess I’m not that particular about those because it’s just fine for me. It allows me to use one remote with streaming PS Vue, Amazon, Netflix. The digital tuner also lets me use 1 remote for all. Great TV-would highly recommend!

Last TV (also a Sony) was purchased in 2005! So, since the previous model did so well (replaced they bulb once), of course we purchased another Sony. The upgrade in picture quality is intense and truly remarkable! Easy to set up (even for the technologically challenged)! Recommend highly.

This is the TV for the realism enthusiast... I spent 3 separate days compared this TV to others and the hands down feature was its accurate colors and most realistic picture , not the fake colors I saw on other TV's. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is due to Android TV ... I'm a huge fan of android but on this tv it is a tiny bit slow in response, but, not enough to be a deal breaker. Wonderful decision buying this tv and id also buy it again when i upgrade another room.

This Sony TV is amazing. Beautiful color and design. The only knock is that the remote seems a little laggy when going through the apps and settings. But other than that it's great. I originally purchased the Samsung 7 Series 65 inch, but returned and and got this. No regrets as of now!

The TV has a beautiful picture, and did not need much calibration it was good out of the box. The TV was easy to set up. I did have some trouble finding a adapter for the composite connection, this should have come with the TV. I feel this is a very good TV at a good price.

Bought this initially for the picture - really excellent! The sound was a delightful surprise - very clear and easy to hear , even with my hearing difficulties even at low volume levels! Set-up was straightforward and logical. I'm an antenna guy - the tuner is very impressive. We're enjoying this very much!

Waited and waited for a price that matched my budget, and it finally dropped to my price level. Easy to set up my Plex, HDHomerun, Sonos and it looks great on the wall, very thin, easy to use menu. Great picture during day and night. Would not hesitate to purchase again.

We (my husband and I) have had this Sony 65" X900F TV for over 10 months now and the one word that describes it all is "Superb". We cut the cord, put up an antenna and bought this Sony TV along with a Tablo Quad for OTA recording and a Fire Stick and have never been happier. Picture is great, sound was adequate but we already had a sound bar so we hooked it up to that as well. I just can't say enough about the TV. Football (yes, the "Over The Air" Football) is just outstanding. We literally can't say enough about how great the color, action, definition/sharpness, and lack of blurring is. And the thin bezel around the screen is assume. Oh yea, the "smart" functions couldn't be any smarter than they are now to make anyone happy. We are in our 70's and it is not too complicated for us. We think that if you can't be happy with the Sony 65X900F you probably can't be pleased with any TV.
