Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and easy setup of the 65" Class X900F Series LED 4K UHD Smart Android TV. They appreciate its great value for the price and find it particularly suitable for gaming. While some users have concerns about the remote control's functionality and the TV's speakers, these drawbacks do not overshadow the overall positive customer experience.

I will start by saying that I went through 3 other TVs before buying this one. Two TCLs and a Vizio P series (65in). Both the TCL and the Vizio had the same problem: DSE (dirty screen effect). Also known as poor grey uniformity, these TVs show greyish areas on light backgrounds, sometimes in a waffle-like grid pattern, and also patches. It's VERY noticeable when you watch hockey. You can test your TV for this with a quick YouTube search. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY on this Sony. The uniformity is PERFECT, and it also has the best implementation of full-array local dimming that I've seen without horrible blooming (The Vizio P-Series was absolutely awful in this regard). This TV also supports both versions of HDR, unlike Samsung. This TV measures up to the 8 and 9 series Samsungs without breaking the bank.

I purchased this TV about a month ago and have no regrets. The picture quality is excellent. I purchased a Sony soundbar as well, but thought the TV speakers were just fine. The only issue I have is with Dish Network. The majority of the channels are not clear using the cable box, but when I stream the channels via an APP (Roku 4k stick) the picture is crystal clear. The Dish technician told me it had to do with how the Dish signal comes in and they are working to fix this in the future. It's not a big deal, since I can stream all the channels I watch, but it could be a problem for someone who doesn't have that option. I am not sure if Directv has this same problem. Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime all look great. Overall, this TV is amazing. Sony products are definitely a little bit more expensive, but you end up with a quality product that will last a long time. If your budget can afford it, I highly recommend spending a little more for this TV.

This is quite a step up in picture quality over the Sony 850 series, which I also have. Blacks are black and reds not only are red but different shades of red are easily seen. Great TV at the regular price. If you jump on one when it's on sale, there is nothing else in that price range to compare.

This is one heck of a Tv for the money. Not quite an OLED but the next best thing for less money with less to worry about. I will say I still want an OLED, but that will be my next one. The single best thing about this TV is the processor and up converter. Honestly takes regular 1080 to a new level. The android system isn’t as bad as some say, just a little slow. Colors are second to none. Great overall TV if it lasts.......time will tell

The picture is fantastic. I upgraded from a Samsung TV and am extremely happy with the decision going to Sony. The picture is extremely clear. The motion is very smooth. And the colors are perfectly saturated. Well worth the money.

I realize saying a $2,000 65" 4K TV is a great value these days might sound strange, but for those of us who want the best picture, it's true. As with many other reviewers, I was upgrading from a high end plasma. That picture still beats most of today's TVs, but of course it's not 4K and I really needed to upgrade from 46". I had been planning on an OLED but considering they're about twice the price and the room is quite bright, I went with other reviewers and bought the 900F. It has a full array backlight, and the contrast is excellent. Colors out of the box are good, but I prefer a more theatrical picture, so I have it set for Cinema Pro mode right now. When I get some time, I might try to play with the calibration further. The best part is I can afford the new $1,500 Yamaha 4K receiver I want now!

The Sony Bravia X900F far surpasses the other brand offerings in this category. We originally purchased a SAMSUNG with the same specifications but found the picture to be fake looking and uncomfortable to watch. Their demos look great - but actual television and cable shows did not reproduce well and looked very unnatural. We returned the SAMSUNG and purchase the SONY and were immediately impressed with the amazing quality of the picture and the natural look. This TV is heads and shoulders above the SAMSUNG and others. I HIGHLY recommend this television if you appreciate a "true" picture and don't like the overly enhanced "fake" look of the SAMSUNG picture.

I upgraded to this bad boy, from a 55" Samsung 3D TV, to compliment my XBOX One X and wow is it amazing! I followed a calibrated setup from Rtings to bring out the best of the picture and I'm very happy with this TV. For its size it's still light weight so I was able to set it up with the provided feet and set it on my entertainment center myself. I had no problem connecting to my Wi-Fi and getting it updated. I haven't messed with the Android part of it since I use my XBOX for streaming, movies, and gaming, so I can't review that part. The TV looks amazing, I don't use the TV speakers so I don't care what they sound like, I have it hooked up to my Yamaha RX-V385 Receiver. After doing months of research I'm glad I was able to get a good deal on this as Best Buy. I'd get it again if I had to.

We spent a good bit of time in the store comparing TV's before deciding on this one. This TV had the image quality we wanted & felt it would suit our needs best. So far it hasn't disappointed! Was our first "smart" TV & impressed at just how simple the setup was.

Helped my mom and dad pick this out and mount over Thanksgiving. They always talk about how gobsmacked they are by the picture quality. Granted their old TV was from 2006 thereabouts so it wasn't hard to impress. Great HDR/DV capabilities (I have a non-DV 900e and DV content does look ever so slightly better), plenty of inputs, and the app selection is great. Naturally my parents are not tech savvy enough to use the apps, but they appreciate the options. If I had a complaint the rear inputs can be a pain to reach, and especially so after the TV's mounted on a wall. You'll need pretty long arms to plug HDMI cables or an Ethernet cord in.

This TV has a stunning display! Colors are natural and Vivid. Set up was very easy it practically does it for you. The only comment I have is that it does seem a littlr dark when watching HDR movies. Other than that no regrets.

I was spoiled with a Panasonic Plasma TV for the last 10 years. I haven't seen a TV with a good motion smoothing and having grass look like grass (on the golf channel) than the Panasonic. This Sony comes close. The one thing I like better about the Sony is the much broader array of colors. I'm seeing violets and peaches etc. that the Panasonic did not have. I am NOT using the built in Android smart TV for streaming. I am using a Roku Streaming Stick + which I find much more intuitive to operate and that is what my wife and I were used to with the Panasonic. The other nice thing about this TV is it's 65". One issue I had to figure out is the wall mounting. The instructions provided do not tell you how long the screws need to be that attach the TV to you wall brackets. I finally figured out they need to be M6L12 screws. Overall I am happy with this set.

I’m very excited about my 65 inch Sony LED Smart TV. The color is exceptional and the quality and the contrast are awesome. I would definitely recommend purchasing this TV. Best Buy had a sale so I Saved $400 which made the purchase even better. Thanks Best Buy!

Only had 1 month. After watching this TV in the store I was very impressed with the nice white clear picture, the color was so rich I felt like I could just walk right into the picture. Had a Sony over 30 years ago and love it so I decided to try them again. So far very happy.

I studied up on all the smart TVs on the market and spent a few hours standing before them in BestBuy before I selected the Sony X900F. Here’s what sold me: Reviews indicating that the set had great onboard image processing and management. Full-array backlighting with great picture. 4K HD so the set should age well relative to content. Now that I have lived with the set for several weeks, I am very pleased with my choice. The TV was easy to set up and it is easy to use with an array of apps. Google integration is fun. It is easy to GoogleCast from my iPhone. The picture is great and the image processing is as good as promised. Only extremely low res video — like that from some traffic cams — appears pixelated or jaggy. You will want a soundbar. I got a low-end Sony soundbar without a subwoofer and am pleased with it. It’s worth having the GeekSquad set up the TV and deliver an initial lesson on its features and use.

Sony's motion and upscaling is incomparable... it just works. Colors are beautiful out of the box. Does have blooming effects on brights scenes. Was watching "The Greatest Showman" in 4k, and you can see the blooming in the black bars... very distracting. Ended up taking this back when the x950g was announced. Only because of my want of earc and the x1 ultimate processor... otherwise I was happy with this set.
